Seeing it hang in it's home space is so different from seeing it completed on the table. It looks amazing hanging! I think it's awesome that you included as much explanation as you did. Yes, there is thinner fabric, yes, there is less expensive fabric and yes, there is simply 💩. You've shown that quilting and / or learning to quilt can be done on a budget with good results. I've purchased a little on TEMU, mainly assorted quilting clips and han embroidery hardware. I do plan on checking them out for a bit more down the road. Not fabric....yet. I have enough stash and scraps to work with with for a while yet 😂. Again, this was a GREAT VIDEO 😊

I bought several Temu quilting tools and fabric and I am very impressed with all of it. Several tools similar to the more expensive tools you buy in a quilt shop are just as good. I will buy more! Thank you for your video.

I use a cotton and polyester blend60/40 I am using the quilters choice domestic longarm arm you can watch more it here on my channel

Thank you for your honesty. I have Temu fabrics also. I can't see a difference. I have seam rippers, snips and scissors. All are the same as what I bought elsewhere for much more money.

What is your opinion on pre-washing fabric vs using starch 23:42 to shrink fabric or use fabric as is. TY

Hi I don't see the point I believe it does more harm than good .. BECAUSE... it shrinks, it frays you lose sizing, so you have to buy more, it creates more labour as you now have to iron before cutting, the fabrics get tangled, i do feel it also takes away the natural visual appeal and shine of the fabrics... better to wash after and then let the whole quilt or project shrink together, this eliminates all above and makes for a more pleasant experience using a cold wash.
Great job! I don't think they were quite 10" square tho, the ones I have received were more like 9". I think you should go make another one in different colors now!

Lovely quilt! I am rather new to sewing and wondered how well temu's products held up. I did recently order some clips, pins, and some of those things that fold the binding. So new I don't know the name of things. 😊 Anyway, I've been hand sewing a patchwork quilt for a few months now. I bought a used sewing machine but later learned it only has one zig zag stitch and I don't like it. But I wanted to learn to sew by hand first because it is relaxing and easier to watch TH-cam. Lol I do have a very tight budget so I go to thrift stores and use sheets or napkins or what ever I can find. Sometimes I find fabric but the other stuff works as well. I will definitely be buying fabric now, thanks! Happy sewing!

I also have purchased the fabrics packs from temu. I did receive them in a timely manner, along with a rotary cutter, several presser feet. They were well packed and in great shape
I was a bit by disappointed I'm the thinness of the fabric. The colors were vibrant and there appeared to be sizing on the fabric also.

I've bought many things from Temu but am leery of buying fabric for quilts. Can you share about washing , drying and if there was a bleeding or fading with the Temu fabrics after perhaps washing several times now, please? Also, the I've been eyeing the Temu ruler like the one you use but I can't read the numbers, can you tell us, is it in inches or metric?
Fabrics are fine with washing no bleeding no issues ruler is in inches and no issues it’s just as any other ruler
Are you able to hold some of the squares up so we can sew how thin/ thick the fabric is compared to store bought quilting fabric. I have had very disappointing experiences with buying fabric thru these websites- not Temu, I am still to try that- I see you you have answered that question
my honest feedback is that the FQ AND THE Japanese FABRIC ARE THE BEST also the jelly strips

The finished quilt is gorgeous. I bought some of the fabric & thought it was thin but you are right, if your just learning to quilt or quilt on a budget it' is a great buy. I may have to make a quilt with mine now.

Beautiful as always! Did you starch before cutting since there was a lot of bias sewing?
@@kwatson5451 nope nothing like that I just cut the 10 inch squares in half and sew I just didn’t stretch the fabric and I did not trim any to size , it really was just fine
