Ok, that makes a lot of sense. I had seen another TH-camr doing a hoop tutorial use them instead of hoop clips. I don't know how she did it but it worked for her.
Also used to hold macrame projects to knotting board. Did a lot of that in the 70s & 80s. Mostly belts & jewelry. Didn't have the patience or money for plant hangers, curtains, wall art, or room dividers.
Make sure you read the product descriptions...you can search for whatever you want, but the search results may not match exactly. You can't be too disappointed if you just assumed...i learned that lesson myself lol.
T pins are not made for use sewing fabrics. They are used wmto hold wigs on forms, and are used in flower arranging...thats why they are not extremely sharp. There are pins made as long as you need for embroidery that are truly made for sewing.
Did you read the description on the item for the size of the stips before ordering? Just cause you do a search for 40" doesn't mean all the items that pull up on the search are exactly that size.
Yes, I did do a search. That is why I purchased them but I didn't get what I ordered. That is the reason why I tried them to see if I would get what the description said and it wasn't. I now work with TEMU as a reviewer on products and test them to see if they are worth it and give my opinions on a first impression. Please check out my latest videos
@jenniferssewingandcreativity awwww sorry to know that. Well, you could sew a wall quilt using half triangles sewn together. Might be pretty and good to sell.
@Willow_Thorn7 Those are great ideas. I would love to see Luna lounging beside you in her very own comfy bed in your craft room instead of on top of the sewing machine. 😆 🤣 😂
I thought of doing that, piecing the fabric together for a lanyard I'm going to check and make at least one and see what it turns out like. Luna is such a goofy girl. I absolutely love that she is so inquisitive, it definitely keeps us on our toes and gives us a good laugh.
Some bags and glues are made from animal byproducts which is probably what is attracting your cat. I used to have a cat who would chew and eat every bag corner in sight.
I've heard about that recently from a lady at a local Quilt shop. She said some of the adhesives are made with a fish by-product and that was what could be attracting cats. Makes sense if it is
That would be a pretty accurate description of their fabric. It is supposed to be like quilting cotton but feels more like a cheap nylon type of fabric. It's okay for making key fobs or lanyards but not much else
It really depends on the type of shank your machine is. If it's a low shank or high shank. Also the type of connection is important, whether it just clips on or you have to push the back of the foot connector to snap it on.My advice for the shank of your machine is to search your manual and if you can't find it Google low shank and high shank measurements. My machines are all low shank.
They have several different sizes of jelly rolls. I've gotten the 42" ones from there before, but I doubled checked measurements. They're usually in the photos
I agree completely. I'm thinking about trying some sewing and quilting supplies from SHEIN. A friend told me she has purchased some and they are better quality.
The t-pins are not usually for fabric use. They are mostly used for blocking to size finished home knitted garments, which is why they are blunt.

That is what I figured.

My cat is the same way. We can’t leave anything with adhesive on where he can reach it.
It's so funny. I wonder what it is that attracts them.

i use the measuring gauge for spacing the rows when making no sew ornaments. works great, had it for years now.
I really like it. I've been using it to check my seams to be sure they are accurate
Sew the same color short strips together to make longer strips so you can make your lanyards
@@lyricalstorms I tried to do that but it was such crappy fabric. I haven't done anything with it since
@jenniferssewingandcreativity awwww sorry to know that. Well, you could sew a wall quilt using half triangles sewn together. Might be pretty and good to sell.
That is a good idea. I may make a little pet bed for Luna or I thought a library tote bag.

@@lyricalstorms I'll be sure to show her when I do
You might be able to scrap up the lanyards with the Jellyrolls... Piece them together. Luna is too funny 😊

Sew two pieces together to get 40 inches.
I may do that if I decide to even use them. I may just use them for key fobs
My cats love the tape from packages to especially amazon
It's so funny. Most cats hate sticky tape but Luna loves it. She is a goof ball for sure 🤣😻

Others have said their fsbrics are thin and not the measurements they say online.

Those pins are sure short…..I prefer longer pins.
I ended up buying some longer ones recently. I always settled for the shorter ones. The longer ones I've been using sure are a game changer.
Are the fancy temu sewing attachments usable on domestic sewing machines. You kind advice will be appreciated .

@@Willow_Thorn7 Thank you. Have an awesome day 😎
@@MignonetteGasparYou're very welcome. I forgot to mention that I have bought sewing feet from Amazon and gotten great deals.

I've never seen a 40/42" jelly roll. Why blame TEMU? You misread!!
Not 42 inches, 42 strips by wof. Also Temu fabric is crap
Major fabric companies (Moda, Benartex, etc), sell jelly rolls that are 40 to 42 strips by with of fabric. Usually run between $40-50+...
@@sallyrazz5085 You are correct and that was exactly what I was referring to. 😊
What is up with cats likes bags? My cats do the same lol
Luna definitely loves them. Her favorites are the giant ones from the large toilet paper package from Sam's club
Their fabric is really cheap….jelly rolls much smaller than US ones.
I agree completely. It is good for key fobs and lanyards but definitely not quilting or clothing

I think the notions r good but not the material
I agree completely. I'm thinking about trying some sewing and quilting supplies from SHEIN. A friend told me she has purchased some and they are better quality.
Glue isn't good for cats to lick
I realize that but she seems to find it no matter what.
Be careful especially with stuff from China….
Material is such poor quality
I agree completely. The only way I was able to salvage it was to iron some medium weight iron stabilizer.
Their jelly rolls suck big time…..thin fabric, worthless and not the proper length…
Exactly, they are crap. I tried sewing them together to make lanyards and the quality is trash. I wasted money on them for sure.
