When this video came out, I believe I was in 7th grade and I quite literally shaved my entire body for months because I thought I was unattractive. I followed these guys' "expectations" to a T. I am a young gentleman of 21 years and if I were to somehow represent males, I don't think that most would even notice your arm hair unless you pointed it out to them. However, I can relate to your predicament since I am too a little bit self-conscious about my body hair. Since last year or so my hair growth has begun to blossom into what one would call male maturity, and I became very aware that I did not really know which areas of my body to trim or shave. I mean, I never really hear women talk about that kind of preference, so I often feel like I'm just playing a guessing game with their hair fetisches, haha... Seriously, some tips on that would be much appreciated.
I also want to say that I personally wouldn't care if I saw your arm hair, because that wouldn't really bother guys like me too much. If your photo really does represent how you look normally and if guys then aren't thinking about asking you out all day, I would think them mad. Personally I think that the vibrant red you chose to wear makes you look fantastic, because it gives you this air of intense but dignified femininity. It also makes you resemble a femme fatale, and since I'm a bit of a retro culture enthusiast myself I can't help but like your photo even more for that. And that's just how you look! I am fairly certain that you have good personality traits as well. Since I don't really do long distance relationships I'm not really trying to flirt or anything (I want to be clear about that), but I want you to know that the negative really is insignificant in light of what is positive about you. ikr? The same happened to me when I was 8-9. I wear a skirt one day at school (without shaving my legs, I didn't even know what shaving is) and a boy called me a monkey. Hair is there to protect the body from dirt and bacteria. But when it comes to shaving it's up to the individual what they want to do.

I think you're right, no one deserves to be humiliated on tumblr except for rapist, murderers, assaulters and those kind of people.
But I don't think that these guys should describe what women or young girls should look like to pleasure them, and describe what they find the ideal appearance and how you should look to be in the certain 'category' that they find beautiful. A lot of young girls are struggling with their body and their appearance, they don't think that they're beautiful and they're not like this 'ideal girl' that those boys are describing in their video. I'm a girl and I have really hairy arms, I wear shirts with longs sleeves when I'm in school, even if it's an extremely hot day. My arm hair doesn't bother me at all. I just care a lot about what people think about me, I wish I didn't but I do. When I wear t-shirts with short sleeves I feel like everybody is staring at my arms and thinking about how ugly they look, I feel insecure. Before watching your video, I had come across their video. I pressed play, watched for about 30 seconds, and shut it off, realizing that 11-year-old boys shouldn't be talking about shit they dont know about. These kids need to take a step back and really analyze if their life choices are good ones.

Yes, everyone has opinions about what they like in a boyfriend/girlfriend. And it's okay to have opinions, but when you start telling people that they should be a certain way in order to appeal to you, THAT is when it becomes a problem. Nash didn't say "I would prefer it if a girl shaved or waxed her arm hair." He made a big scene out of how disgusting body hair is and that girls should shave it or he's going to find them unappealing. They didn't say "I like it when girls are funny." They said, "Be funny. Entertain me. Be fun in a boring situation." See where the problem lies? The other issue is that they have a very large, primarily female audience, I'm assuming from the ages of 12-17. Those boys have a responsibility to their audience and have the power to make them either feel really good or really shitty about themselves, and with advertisements around every corner telling girls how they should look and act, it doesn't really do anything for their self-esteem. If you weren't offended by the video, good for you, but not everyone is like you, and a lot of people are hurt by it. This is great at explaining that.
