I watched a little boy for a friend when I was in the service. She was too. She was divorced and he was a 2 y/o. He was terrified of her BF. Everyone would laugh about it. I was only 19. He would even pretend to sleep if the BF came around. He ended up killing him. He was also in the service. He only was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and got 179 days. It affects me to this day. I cried for months. I probably spent more time with him in his last few months than she did. He would have turned 31 in February. His name was Kyle. Sweetheart. I had to testify. By the time of the trial I was pregnant. Ever since it happened I question anyone. I don’t care if ends friendships, relationships, working relationships. I will never put a child through that again. I just didn’t know any better. I have never forgiven myself. That was October 1993. RIP Kyle ❤️‍🩹

I only have the license plate number, and the knowledge of what apartment complex they live in (I don’t know which unit though), but CPS can’t do anything unless they know the exact unit number, which only the cops can supply, yet the cops don’t care. Tht made me so sad as a person who works with kids, I don't work with girls often but even I would notice a child not wanting to b around a specific adult and ask them y. Usually it's simple like old people smell bad I heard from one of my boys lol but a child will b honest. Had mom asked she would've told her mom. I wanted to cry as a little girl I was assaulted and kept it a secret out of fear that my father would go to jail for killing them, bcuz I knew my parents loved me enough to b that angry. I told a therapist who asked if she could tell my mom and it was nvr brought up at home I assumed my parents were told how much I didn't want to talk about it and still as an adult the furthest I go is to say it did happen. My best friend knew the whole story and also agreed to nvr tell. The man moved far away to live with his mom, a man to me I was 12 and he 17. Heard rumors he got a girl pregnant and was running away, I'd always assumed if these lies jad been started bcuz he'd talked about wat he'd done to me but over time this as well just became a thought. Some things the interviewer said hit hard for me about being promiscuous or not at all. I'm not at all except wen I've been in a relationship for a long time, my partner and I both giggled at how spot on that was.

You see I was arguing on the side of empathy. The phrase “as a mom…” (or dad in my case) can be used as a tool to manipulate, for sure. It can also be used as a tool to build relationships and create a sense of understanding. If you cannot see the positive side of that phrase then perhaps you need to look in the mirror.

She’s 100 times worse then him and if you watch the body cam footage she literally was lying and vouching about her son being at his dads and then when asked to write her children she didn’t put Jordan. If she really cared she would have come clean and if she had involvement just admit it for the sake of her family. Something about her actually makes me physically sick and angry. This 2 policemen don't give a f* about the mother. They and also the audience seem not to try to understand it why this lady is saying and acting as she does. Would you tell the police your boyfriend abuses you and threatens to kill you or turn you over to police if you tell the police what he did to your son? While knowing that everybody will believe the smooth talking of your boyfriend and not you? Bah. Classic case of wrong judgements by the police. The lady should have gotten an attorney instead.

Like many here, I really like the female detective. She is sharp and plays this creep like a fiddle. And the suspect's interpretation of her son's dying facial expression is chilling. The poor boy was suffering, confused, and in pain. He wasn't trying to cuss you out. He wasn't assuring you that he loved you and would see you in heaven. This woman just took men into her home around her vulnerable children without knowing them for any appreciable amount of time. Even if her boyfriend did most of the abuse, she knew it was happening. Either way, she is the most culpable party, but I have a feeling she is also an abuser.

Those kids shouting their pleas and the cops dismissing them as dumb kids and not listening has haunted the hell out of me since I ever saw it.
I've not watched this video yet, so idk if its mentioned or not, but if not, listen to the kids while the cops do the home visit. When they're sitting on the stairs. I cannot even use my imagination to guess what punishment that may have cost them when the police left that day. I can't fathom how scared they must've been to go for it thinking they're saved! Only to have the rug jerked once again from under them.

I was fortunate enough that my ex didn’t physically abuse my kids. Only me. But the psychological effects of emotional abuse are a lot longer lasting than the physical imo. 13:47 her acting as if she’s thought about her kid since the incident reminds me of a video I saw of a woman who killed her husband 24 hours prior saying “to this day I still love him” as if some long period of time has gone by.
