It’s been my dream to take the Lofoten, in winter, to see the northern lights and the Norwegian coastline. I’m going to do it! Great video with a sensibility and a joy for her.
I have did this trip three time to see the northern lights and it happen on my third trip. When I was on the Loften, it was just wonderful. I believe they were only around 40 people on the ship. The ship was the best of the three the other two ship were Morden ships the food and the staff on all the ship were great but the Loften just had so much character, I do hope to sail on her again.
Wonderful video! I've been dreaming of travelling with MS Lofoten since when I was a schoolboy almost 30 years ago! I still remember me looking at the Hurtigruten-brochure (yes, pre-internet-times back then... ;-) , admiring this beautiful old ship and dreaming of taking a trip to Norway. Today I'm so happy that MS Lofoten is still going strong - and I still cannot believe that my wife and I will be travelling with her from Bergen to Kirkenes in just three week's time... :-) can't wait...

Hello Harry! We've just returned from our trip with MS Lofoten yesterday and i have to say: it was an unforgetable experience! The beautiful charming old ship, the friendly crew, nice people, incredible landscape and in our case wonderful weather - sunshine from Bergen to Honningsvåg! Thanks to you, Captain Amundsen and the whole crew for this wonderful journey! By the way: it was you supervising the lowering of the boat and the clearing of the anchor shortly after Tromsø, right? :-)Tusen takk og lykke til :-)

I took her for 11 days, January 2019. Great ship. All the nationalities got on so well. This ship has more character than a Shakespeare play.

Superb video - did the Lofoten a year ago from Bergen to Kirkenes and back again - a fantastic experience. Video brings back so many happy memories.
