Hi David, I was waiting to see where and when Captain Hudson was going to make his appearance !! In the cabin YAY. It's even better when hubby visits and Miss Emma is sailing with you !!
They are brand spanking new which helps a lot. They are still working ferries tho! I will still be taking Hurtigruten ferries too. Thanks for watching 🙌
My husband and I will be sailing the norwegian coast in May. I found this youtube channel, and it is fascinating! This winter journey is now on my bucket list. Thank you for these informative videos!!
We were on the Polaris in November 23….absolutely loved our trip up and back and would recommend to anyone. We only had 146 passengers on the way from Kirkenes to Bergen so it was very quiet but the crew were fantastic and friendly and we had the most fantastic holiday…and saw the northern lights 3 times which is why we went 😊
Thank you for sharing your journey. Norway is a stunning country in the summertime, but it looks incredibly "cool" in the winter time as well. Hope I get a chance to return there sometime soon.
I was there recently. It was so amazing. Perfect service , and super comfort. I was just there for 12 hours, because I left the boat at the third port. Wish I could be there longer
Sorry for the delayed reply, I’m at sea again! Prices in late Jan / early Feb approx 16000 NOK pp for inside and NOK 24000 pp for seaview, based on two sharing a cabin, including meals. Prices are much higher in the summer. Solo traveller deals are usually available in the winter too 🙌
Certain items in the cafe were included, these are marked on the menu. On my trip, this included a basic pizza, a burger, pastries, and some other lighter meals. But not things like chocolate, sodas etc.
Great videos you are providing on the coastal cruises! Can you comment on the wifi & cellular situation on these ships, how good are signals/speeds and are there additional charges?
Hello. I will be travelling from Tromsø to Stamsund in January 2025, and the journey starts at midnight. It is nearly 20 hours of traveling. I am actually on a budget, so in your opinion, should I go for the less expensive deck space ticket or book a cabin? Is there any place for the deck passengers to relax and take a nap? How difficult is it in winter for the deck passengers?
Everyone is different when it comes to sleeping so I really can’t say! Personally I wouldn’t never take an overnight trip without booking a cabin, but that’s just me.
Fabulous video - really comprehensive, interesting tour, nicely edited and narrated. Thanks
Thank you so much!! 🙌

Sounds like an ideal trip! It was also quiet on my voyage especially southbound.

Hello David, may I ask how far in advance did you book your tickets? And was the cruise fully booked in your trip? @@lifeinnorway1
Thanks David for the great video! Just wondering if the Havly cafe snacks are included for round trip guests? 😊

Wi-Fi is free, but I used 4G/5G most of the time, as the ships are rarely too far away from the coastline.
