Nice flight and video! I'm still diong surveys for make a choice betweet Litchi and DJI Ultimate Fly V3 application. And your video has just made all I need for my Litchi reference.
Nice video and tutorial! It's a sub from me! I've used the Litchi app on a few missions without any problems. My latest was over a country club. Even if the UAV disconnects from the remote, it'll keep on flying the mission. It uses the GPS to fly to each waypoint. Some have said that the camera won't do what it was programmed to do, but I can't confirm that. One word of advice if you haven't noticed it. When planning a mission over water (I use the mission hub on my laptop) pay close attention to the 'altitude from take off point' at each new waypoint. The app doesn't recognize water as being 'ground level'. So, if your altitude is set for 100 feet off the ground and you fly over water that is 150 feet deep (for example), your UAV will go into the drink. That's not an issue for most waterways, but I live near the Mississippi river and there are places where it's about 170 feet deep! Just something to think about. Again, Nice video! Keep up the good work!
OMG that is some great advice! I guess I was lucky because most of the water was shallow beach type stuff. That's why I make these videos so others can give us their personal constructive comments. I'll check out your channel too now.
I've been paying close attention to that detail while planning missions now. It isn't usually a problem, as the water is usually on a few feet deep, but over deeper water (a lot of people like to fly out over the ocean) it could be a big issue.
Thank you for Litch app toturial. may i question when starting litch app. Should you setting to a-mode on remote controller? how to way to progress from first?
Nice video! But i've got a question: if you buy the app, can you easily link your DJI Phantom 3 with the app? Or do you need something to do before you can use the Litchi app?
It's easy, just join your phantom wifi then open the app up. I usually to make sure to kill the DJI GO app first just so there is no interference. Overall works great when doing waypoints.
I wish I got paid everytime I heard that! Great to hear though, it's a good price now. Just fly safe, take it easy and you'll be loving your footage. Just so you know I edit my footage pretty heavily to give more pop. I would recommend post editing software to adjust contrast and saturation, it makes a huge difference.
Actually, I have total faith in my bird, at anytime I can take control by flicking off the GPS or Mode function. For me, it's hard to find an open field in my city. Japan is pretty tight when it comes to housing density. Glad you liked it, is the XK doing ok?
+Nigel Paquin thank you for the kind words, yes it will throw my game off, I want to fly&film, but I see the potential as a very good App with some useful Tools 👊😎✌🏼️
This has helped my standard with drop outs and gave it way more range. www.japandji.com/#!ARGtek-Range-Extended-Kit-is-a-Must-Mod/ccly/57317a040cf287ca4949c283

Awesome mate! So cool! were you nervous about flying over water?

+Nigel Paquin I've got a gimbal now, attempting to fix the shaking issue
+The Flyin Finn posted a new video the other day
Cool app nice video 😎 ✌🏼
So when is Slayer gonna use it? I know you're quite the flyer, would it take things away from your game you think?
+Nigel Paquin thank you for the kind words, yes it will throw my game off, I want to fly&film, but I see the potential as a very good App with some useful Tools 👊😎✌🏼️
if you lose the radio signal during the mission with standard phantom 3 what happens?
The aircraft will continue to complete the mission
I have the same problem with the video going out, what product did you use to mod your r/c?

Was it hard to rewired the range extender? How far more can you with the extender?
when it completes mission can you set RTH?
