    A lot of people do not see the charm of the CC-01, it was about long before crawling got really popular. But a slower motor a must. For me it's a nice challenge to drive over my other trucks 🙂

      @DoURC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah totally agree, it's a different type of trailing experience. I really enjoy it. Yeah even with a 45t motor it's still pretty quick. The next thing I want to do is change the receiver/transmitter combo, for better control. 👍
      Thanks very much for watching and commenting. 👍

    I love the CC01 chassis, its just a really fun little rig and shows what Tamiya do best.
    I have one with the Tamiya tracks and a reduction box, its alot of fun just to run around in the snow and mud

      They're great little rigs aren't they. I was really surprised how tough it is too, as my old Tamiya Grasshopper I swear is made of cheese! 🤣👍

    I love the cc-01. Awesome running footage! Its a very truck, they make great rally chassis, much less roll than most scale trucks. The battery location is good for handling i find, 🙌 make it a great day

    Really enjoyed this video and review. After asking your advice recently I managed to find a cheap redcat everest 10 project, not exactly what I was looking for but close enough to get me started. This videos reminded me I have a cc01 and very rare crv body in the project collection which after seeing this has motivated me to get on with it -today-after my chores😅 . Great channel thanks

    Great video! Thanks for running down this nice Pajero!
    After reviving my 90s cc-01 Jeep Wrangler I want to exchange the super hard stock tires that perform perfectly on-road for actual mud blocks. Any that you can recommend which fit on the cc-01. I don’t intend to do extreme crawling but a bit more traction would be nice. 🙏

      I recently picked up some cheap tyres off Aliexpress for the cc01. If you check out episode 3 of my Whats on the Bench series you can see them on my cc01 wrangler. 👍
      They're basically Austar hobby and fit perfectly and are 85mm OD with 1.55" beadlock wheels. 👍

      @@DoURC Your Jeep looks pretty neat. Nice job! Btw, thanks for pointing my attention to your channel. You have some inspiring videos up there. I think I'll pick up a set of Tamiya mud blocks . They should do what I'm up to and look scale. Thanks again! ✌

    Interesting, you've got different wheels and tyres from mine (mine literally don't squish). You've also got a slightly different spare wheel cover and the mounts for the mechanical ESC bits are gone/lower - I guess yours is a newer one? I didn't know they'd ever changed!
    I think I made a mistake buying an 'upgraded' one... it's taken a fair bit of work to get the suspension moving like yours does already as the new parts, I realise now, are actually rubbish.

    • @DoURC
      @DoURC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I like the stock parts. I think the other possible issue with upgrade parts is, there's lots of cheapo options which are rubbish. I think the more expensive Yeah Run parts are better.
      The previous owner Liam actually commented my tyres are the softer Tamiya Mud Blocks, so you must have the super stock mud blocks.
      Not sure on the other differences, they may well have revised it or its just been modified. They did the Lexan Pajero Sport version and a Low Rider version too, so could be differences between those too. 👍
      What do you think of yours now? 👍

    • @rccrawlersmid-wales645
      @rccrawlersmid-wales645 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DoURC I'm pretty happy with it now - it's got the scale look and performance I was after, or most of each anyway (still stuff to do). Can't believe what a performance upgrade replacing the sliders was! I notice you don't run any - I fitted some metal ones as I didn't want to be grounding the body. I still need either softer springs or more weight though, and I must swap the 45t for a 35t. Then there's an interior to sort out... 😎

      @ericgoings506 No problem at all. The ones I have seen are 313mm wheelbase, so would be too long for the Tamiya chassis, but perfect for most other crawler chassis. 👍
