Gracie Allen was one of a kind there is never been anyone else like her close perhaps but she’s never been duplicated and never could be. She went far too soon. You know, I’ve looked and have never been able to find a video clip of her being serious, I think, except for one PA announcement. I’d like to know what the woman was like off camera and off stage. And I can’t leave this comment without mentioning how great George was. But Gracie was almost flawless with her deliveries. I find it quite amazing actually. Oh by the way, I’ve been a vegetarian since 1973 and it is now 2024. Peace.
i can't be sure but something tells me the carnation milk corporation contributed a lot to this script. i don't think o've ever seen such blatant product placement in any burns and allen show. or any tv show.

I wasn't born when Burns and Allen had their TV show. It is priceless. Forever. Because Gracie wrote most of it!

These early shows were broadcast LIVE. Poor Gracie had to do all that crazy dialogue and nail it in one take!

Haha this is why I hate cooking shows. Lots of lead up and enticing ideas but no actual food! Love Gracie, George too.
