- Hey guys! This video was not planned at all, but here it is! I finally found out what the issue with my suit was, and tried to fix it, therefore breaking it even further. Yay!
Finally ended up wearing my real-life springlock suit. Finally! It's been too long, and now I can finally say I'm the first human to ever wear a springlock suit. And experience a springlock failure.

it was hard to not laugh on the fact- you got a failure, on a failure, first the springs locks that wont work and then the jaw who got a failure, the mask is telling you to not wear it at this point x)

Funny is that this is how the suits really worked in cannon, the springlocks are SUPER sensitive to movement and moister. Bumping of the side of a table, or even just breathing could set it off.

according to the lore if a springlock suit is well kept and put on correctly it is very hard to set off the springlocks accidentally by doing things such as walking around
Yes but this is irl not FNAF, a springlock failure results in an actual death or injury and I think it's smarter to avoid that

Yes I know the books say something different but both the games and tge movies prove that your supposed to squeeze next to the endo either behind you are mounted to the walls around you
@@jmurray1110 the springlock animatronics don’t really have an endo in the traditional sense. The springlocks are the endo, they’re just made to lock into the sides of the suit.

Spring locks holding back a skeleton makes a lot more sense (and lines up better with the model) than a collection is locks somehow working like hydrolics and a voice box
The problem with the suit Afton put on though is that it was very old and unmaintained. The locks probably failed as soon as he started to run in it.
The difference between these locks and the ones from the games, is that the ones from the games have a significantly increased amount of tension in them, you need to wind them up with a crank of sorts to put the suit into a wearable mode.

Jokes aside though, it's not actually possible for you to get hurt in that thing is it? I heard the springlocks go off at the end and you're still alive so I assume no.
They aren’t sharp like in the games. It does probably sting a fair amount though

There’s no Endo skeleton (the thing that would actually kill you) so no chance of dying , if the spring locks were to fail the decompression would have each mechanism click back into place quickly so if pressed up a squishy and easily punctureable bits on the face (cheeks, nose, ears ,eyes) would most likely face damage. But it would depend on the decompression rate of the spring lock and the closeness of the skin. So yes I. Worst case scenario you’d puncture your cheeks, break your nose , break your eardrums (weather from puncture wounds or the sound being in close proximity) and potentially have eye damage (this is assumed that the spring locks were fast in decompressing and close to the face and went off all at the same time. Best case scenario you’ll get light bruise if or just soreness for a few days(the spring locks would have to be slow in snapping back and were no where near the eyes or ears. Although the outcome would likely be somewhere in the middle

perhaps you could reverse the springlocks so that instead of pushing inwards, they push outwards. using this method, a springlock failure could only be caused when there is an endoskeleton inside and the only consequence would be the suit loosening from the suit. it is not entirely canon but it keeps the springlocks in the suit and it is safer.

If this was how it was designed, I think that he'd still be Springlocked, just in a more painful way. The kids would likely drag him to I guess the Puppet, who would insert the crank to move the Endoskeleton into place slowly Springlocking him. Sounds even worse because they can take their sweet time with that.

I don't have words to describe how immensely cool it is to see you actually bring something to life that is deemed as pseudoscientific at best irl. What you are doing hasn't been done before at all and mad props to you for that! It is pretty sad that this channel incredibly underrated. A ton more people need to know about what you're doing.
I remember before anyone online started making springlock suits I had the idea to make one. I bought all the stuff but never pulled through with it. But it’s impressive to see how much better others are compared to how I planned mine.

imagine going out with this costume, having a normal conversation about it and then suddenly feeling sharp pains in your neck and all around your body and literally getting springlocked in real life (although it would just sting cause its a costume)

I now see why the suits were decommissioned, not only were the spring locks faulty, but really dangerous as even a simple sneeze would lead to almost instant death
Who would've thought that the series would inspire so many people os much that we'd unironically have several people creating realistic animatronics, and even someone slowly making going through the process of making themselves a real Springtrap

Uh, hello? Hello hello? Uh welcome to your new career as a performer slash entertainer for Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Uh, these tapes will provide you with much needed information on how to handle, slash climb into, slash climb out of, mascot costumes. Right now we have two specially designed suits that double as both animatronic and suit. So please pay close attention while learning how to operate these suits, as accidents, slash injury, slash death, slash irreparable and grotesque maiming, can occur.
First, we will discuss how to operate the mascots when they are in animatronic form. For ease of operation the animatronics, are set to turn and walk towards sound cues. This is an easy and hands-free approach, to making sure the animatronics stay where the children are, for maximum entertainment slash crowd-pleasing value. To change the animatronics to suit mode, insert and turn firmly the hand crank provided by the manufacturer.
Turning the crank will recoil and compress the animatronic parts around the sides of the suit, providing room to climb inside. Please make sure the springlocks are fastened tight, to ensure the animatronic devices remain fixed. We will cover this in more detail in tomorrow’s session.

Uh, hello hello! Uh, for today’s lesson we will be continuing our training on proper suit handling technique.
When using an animatronic as a suit, please ensure that the animatronic parts are tightly compressed and fastened by the springlocks located around the inside of the suit. It may take a few moments, to position your head and torso between these parts in a manner where you can move and speak. Try not to nudge or press against any of the springlocks inside the suit. Do not touch the springlocks at any time. Do not breathe on the springlocks, as moisture may loosen them, and cause them to break loose. In the case that the springlocks come loose while you are wearing the suit, please try to manoeuvrer away from populated areas before bleeding out, as not to ruin the customer experience.
As always if there is ever an emergency, please note there’s a designated safe room. Every location is built with one extra room that is not included in the digital map layout programmed in the animatronics or security systems. This room is hidden to customers, invisible to animatronics, and is always off-camera.

Safety is top priority at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, which is why the classic suits are being retired to an appropriate location while being looked at by our technicians.
Until replacements arrive, you will be expected to wear the temporary costumes provided to you. Keep in mind that they were found on very short notice, so questions about appropriateness slash relevance should be deflected. I repeat, the classic suits are not to be touched, activated, or worn. That being said we are free of liability, do as you wish.
