You might want to consider to stay put where you will be dry and high away from flooding and wait for this relentless bad weather to pass. Btw that ceiling fan, GENIUS!!😂
Hi guys. We came across your channel after watching your Camino walk as this is something we are planning to do. We are now watching your camper van episodes and were so happy to see you at our home town Newcastle. Not only in our home town but our local Bunnings and Anaconda 😆. Sorry the weather wasn’t the best when your started but the East Coast really do have the best beaches in the world. Hope you enjoyed your visit 🇦🇺🦘
ha ha-awesome idea with the fan-might look at some sort of fan myself,we have rooftop air conditioner but only when plugged into mains power at camp sites.hope you surviving the heavy rains and floods up north
Fan very cool (ha ha!). Song suggestions - Eagle Rock by Daddy Cool, I’ll Be Gone by Spectrum, It’s A Long Way to the Top by AC/DC, Most People I Know Think That I’m Crazy by Billy Thorpe, Tuckers Daughter by Ian Moss, Great Southern Land by Icehouse, Treaty by Yothu Yindi, Friday On My Mind by Easybeats, Better Be Home Soon by Crowded House, Help Is On The Way by Little River Band, Reckless by Australian Crawl, Before Too Long by Paul Kelly, Sound of Then (this is Australia) by Gang Gajang and of course Downunder Men At Work.
Awesome guys. Great work with the fan. That'll do the job. Pleased you went to and enjoyed Harry's Cafe de Wheels. Top shelf stuff eh. Things will settle down nicely for you both as the days move on and a good run of sunny days will enable you to explore more and make the most of your time. Petrol is at crazy prices right now and has been up around A$1.85 a litre for some time in Sydney. Hopefully as you move around further north you will find prices are cheaper. Keep in mind my other recommendation to shop at Aldis in lieu of Woollworths and Coles. It'll save you a bundle. A very enjoyable vlog. Thanks. Already looking forward to the next one :)))
Oh dear, what a day, but I'm sure you'll figure things out. That fan DIY is genius. Australia is expensive as you are discovering. Take care driving with all the rain atm.🤗💪
As soon as you pulled in I said to myself you better watch out for the dingos and then I saw the sign that said to be dingo aware and then you said you spotted a dingo! I would’ve been looking for a dingo free hostel. Since you’re in Australia you have to listen to Olivia Newton-John’s Have You Never Been Mellow and her other hits from the 70s.
Heh guys, you deserve more subs and hits. The quality of your videography and editing is good. And I loved the way you showed us the ordinary things in Australia. Van life can be very enjoyable once you get a hang of it. :)
Flame Trees by Cold Chisel Life is a Highway by Ian Moss The Horses by Daryl Braithwaite Weir by Killing Heidi Straight Lines by Silverchair Have a Look by Venessa Amorosi These Days by Powderfinger Slice of Heaven by Dave Dobbins. These are some Aussie classics
The obvious choices for an Aussie road trip Playlist would be the most prominent Aussie bands: Men at Work/I come from a Land Down Under; Midnight Oil/Bed Are Burning; INXS/any song; AC-DC/ any song; Little River Band/Any song. The Bee Gees are kind if Australian, since the boys lived in Queensland for about 15 years growing up, but since they're also British, I'll leave that up to you guys. I'll leave the rest to be chosen by real Aussies, as I'm Canadian, lol.
So strange to see you in my backyard. Hope you’re safe, high’n’dry somewhere … what an awful week to be in NSW!!! ‘Plans’ by Birds of Tokyo ‘True Lovers’ by Holy Holy Some Aussie songs for long drives.
Ha yeah - it’s certainly been incredibly different from what we had planned. What a few days it’s been. Thank you for the song recommendations!! Added them to the playlist :)
I feel sad that you experienced bad weather . You would have seen a lot more if the weather was good . I hope one day you can return to Australia and experience better weather . Stay away from the Monsoon period in Australia which is between November and April in Queensland . I wish you both all the best as you are good people and I hope you will still have sone good memories of your trip in Australia .
Hello Lisa and Josh, You're going the wrong way. In Victoria, bright sunshine every day. Driving songs? Ride The Night Away by Jimmy Barnes. That should start you off well. Thankyou so much for this video
If you're staying in the country longer, make sure to drive into some of the outback towns! It's worth the trip and its definitely a much drier trip than this! La Nina effects in Australia's East Coast hasn't been so kind to the people
I'm probably dating myself, but what about "I Am Australian" or "Australia Land of Today" by Judith Durham and The Seekers? Great idea with the fan! Very inventive! And, enjoyable as always...I feel like I'm right there with you.
I hope that the massive widespread floods on the east coast of Australia has not caused you to move out of the campervan and onto its roof to await rescue. In hindsight maybe you should have rented a campervan that came not only with a fan but was also amphibious or at least came with life jackets and an inflatable life raft.
What did the van company say sounds like they are the ones who should be paying to fix all the issues oh on a weekend you need to go to bunnings and get a sausage sizzler it’s epic
I hope you guys have a 'Plan B' it's not looking promising the further north you are travelling. Seeing Gympie under water on the news makes me think you might end up being stuck along the way.
We are improvising as we are going and agree with you. Hoping to find a good juju and some plan b that aligns with our plans of returning the van up north

Thank you so much!! Added :)
Myall Lake is amazing area north of Newcastle, remember school camp there. Come back through the year for day trip.
Anything inxs. Stay Dry and have fun. 💕
Thank you!! Just added some inxs to our playlist for tomorrow :)
Midnight Oil's Beds are Burning, and The Band Played Waltzing Matilda by Eric Bogle.
Added! Thank you!! :)
You might want to consider to stay put where you will be dry and high away from flooding and wait for this relentless bad weather to pass. Btw that ceiling fan, GENIUS!!😂
Or head inland onto the New England Highway, very pretty country up through there
Agree! It’s catastrophic up here and the M1 is cut off in far Northern NSW.
Thank you for the suggestions!! We are thinking of heading inland and north indeed and the New England hwy was thankfully open
Wowwww you guys were in Newie! Hometown. at 7.52 my aunt apartment is the one to the right.
wah, no way! so cool!
I’d recommend Resonance by HOME. Very good song to drive/vibe to. Even more so if you’re driving at night
Thank you!! Added to the list!!

You know you're from the Midwest when you mention Menards as a home improvement store! 😂😂 The fan was such a smart idea!
Lol, busted :)
You guys are so resourceful! That was a great idea!
Haha thank you!! :)
Best quality of life purchase! Good choice.
For sure. How do campervans not all have fans? You gotta have a fan!

Great rec!!!!
Just worked out where I’ve seen Josh before.
Patrick Wilson from The Conjuring series
Ahh yeah, you are actually the second person to mention this!
@@LisaAndJosh haha, he’s a good looking actor, so it’s a compliment. Would be bad if someone thought you looked liked Steve Buscemi lol 😂
@@jorel4477 totally agree 😂
Songs for your playlist while in Australia....anything by AC/DC......the most popular band to originate from down under😄
Yesssss!! 🎉🎉🎉
Heh guys, you deserve more subs and hits. The quality of your videography and editing is good. And I loved the way you showed us the ordinary things in Australia. Van life can be very enjoyable once you get a hang of it. :)

Some Aussie songs for long drives.
Ha yeah - it’s certainly been incredibly different from what we had planned. What a few days it’s been.
Thank you for the song recommendations!! Added them to the playlist :)
Driving on the left would make me really nervous, but would be worth a drive to see Aussie land.
You get used to it quickly! So much so that now driving on the other side feels weird :)
I feel sad that you experienced bad weather . You would have seen a lot more if the weather was good . I hope one day you can return to Australia and experience better weather . thanks for the kind thoughts! despite the rain, we enjoyed our trip and look forward to more adventures in Australia again!
Hello Lisa and Josh, You're going the wrong way. In Victoria, bright sunshine every day. Driving songs? Ride The Night Away by Jimmy Barnes. That should start you off well. Thankyou so much for this video
These are the perfect recs, just what we needed. Thank you!! Oo we want to visit Victoria too!
If you're staying in the country longer, make sure to drive into some of the outback towns! It's worth the trip and its definitely a much drier trip than this! La Nina effects in Australia's East Coast hasn't been so kind to the people
Thanks, Alfred!! The east coast has been rough, the outback has always been so fascinating to us!! Hope to make it there
I'm probably dating myself, but what about "I Am Australian" or "Australia Land of Today" by Judith Durham and The Seekers?
Great idea with the fan! Very inventive!
And, enjoyable as always...I feel like I'm right there with you.

Great idea with the fan!!! Can’t wait to see the rest of your trip xx
I hope that the massive widespread floods on the east coast of Australia has not caused you to move out of the campervan and onto its roof to await rescue.
In hindsight maybe you should have rented a campervan that came not only with a fan but was also amphibious or at least came with life jackets and an inflatable life raft.
Ha yep. We’ve thought about turning it into a boat-van many times in the past few days.
Hopefully the floods in QLD don’t ruin your plans 😭
I know this is a really old video but men at work down under....that's the only song that speaks too me
What did the van company say sounds like they are the ones who should be paying to fix all the issues oh on a weekend you need to go to bunnings and get a sausage sizzler it’s epic
Yep, thanks! We are working with them to make it all work. And thanks for this tip!! Sounds like a thing we need in our lives right now
Relax Josh, I was entertained. Thanks you two for sharing. Have a safe and enjoyable trip!
Thanks for watching, Scott! ☺️
Thank you for shearing . Chaos for next video

Recommendation ... Supertrump
Guessing you mean supertramp? If so, added that just now! :)
@@LisaAndJosh yes supertramp ... enjoy
I will laugh with you guys but not at you. Your adventurous spirit is something to truly aspire to. Keep on keeping on. Kickass fan!
Haha - it’s ok to do both :) thank you!!
Ha, ceiling fan in a camper. One good knock and it's out of balance forever, wobble wobble.
I hope you guys have a 'Plan B' it's not looking promising the further north you are travelling. Seeing Gympie under water on the news makes me think you might end up being stuck along the way.

Let's Go!!! #1
Woohoo!!

❤️❤️❤️
Welcome to Australia, where everything is expensive.
It really feels like prices have gone up so, so much in the past few years!
