Glad the weather has improved a bit. Noosa is a very popular holiday town and you have discovered why it's so popular. Really hope the weather holds out and you manage to see Fraser Island. You'll need to leave the camper on the mainland as all the roads on Fraser island are sand. If you can afford it, try a guided tour. Swim at the amazing Lake McKenzie, see the rainforests and learn about Fraser Islands tragic and sad history. It's so good when you have a local to show you around. Stay safe.
thank you for all the awesome suggestions. and thank you also for pointing out the importance of learning about the history of K’gari and the Butchulla people, really appreciate it
@@LisaAndJosh So glad you made it to Fraser Island. Learning about the Butchulla people and their beautiful island K’gari left a huge impression on me. I hope one day to show my children how special this island is. Travelling is not just seeing wonderful places, it's also about learning about it's history - good and bad. Keep Safe! Cheers, Stef
Tip.. when ever you seen a pie van on the side of the road, stop and get a pie. For some reason pie vans always have the best pies in QLD.. also fruit on the side of the road is always heaps cheaper than in the stores. Wood bags as well on the side of the road are heaps cheaper than at the servos and when you are at a wild camping space you can usually have a fire.
The only way is up now! You're about to visit through some of the most beautiful parts of Australia! We are approaching the end of monsoon season so your trip up north should get less intense with the flood risks! Make sure to explore Fraiser Island and the great barrier reef
fun fact, noosa was once known as the most northern suburb of melbourne as most of the early inhabitants who created noosa were immigrants from melbourne originally ;)
The processionary caterpillars, what is it? The processionary caterpillar is the larval stage of a type of moth. In order to metamorphose into a chrysalis, it first spends a certain time nourishing itself, mostly by feeding on conifer needles (i.e. pine, cedar, etc.), around which it also weaves its silk cocoon. Dangerous for cats and dogs we have them here in Portugal.
Great vids! I don't normally subscribe to anything but you won me when you were in Melbourne and wanted coffee, and didn't head straight to a (UGH) Starbucks 😂 SUBSCRIBED!
wanted to rent a camper in melbourne as well, but due to the holidays everything was booked out. enjoying now the NON Camper time 😅 hope all the ppl affected by the flooding will get things sorted soon and get help as they need it !
Hello You Two, Well, at least your holiday offers something different from everywhere else. Toyota is Australia's most trusted brand. It won't stop running. Only the non Toyota parts are unreliable. Imagine driving one of those semi trailers over the range. Manual transmission 24 forward gears , 2 trailers attached! So nice to see you in the homelands of my parents. A surprise as welcome as unexpected. Did you buy a plastic ruler at the big banana? Please travel safely! Thankyou so much for this video
We believe it! Toyotas are awesome--the built in parts are probably the things that are harder to upkeep. and wow--can't even imagine--24 forward gears?! Noosa is beautiful :) thanks for watching!!
From what I've read about those caterpillars, they are pretending to be a snake to scare off predators. "Look out, angry snake coming through, we are fierce and deadly so don't attack us".
I am so sorry it rained but you made the best of what you had . Noosa is lovely and thank you for your lovely video
we had a wonderful time in Noosa
"The sun will come out tomorrow..." 🙂Always good when you know someone local.

Beautiful one year, flooded the next
that's what we've been hearing - that means 2023 should be amazing!
I'm from the Badger state,
Welcome...try the sugar cane juice!
Thanks for the tip!! that sounds so refreshing!
I'm so glad to see you guys smiling again. Thank God for friends. Josh, how was that cheese? 🧀 😳 🤔
😀 you know we always have to represent the dairy state!!
@@LisaAndJosh lol 🧀. But what about the chips there???
Thumbs up for the bottle of Frank's Red Hot sauce on the table. And...that is a BIG banana!
huge!!!! 😹
Found you both yesterday ❤️. Where are you both from? State or Country?
😻
😻
Have you seen the elusive cassowary bird? Like an emu but territorial and a tad dangerous 🤣
we saw one at the Australia Zoo--wow, those are big and beautiful birds!
I hope you guys told Tia that you saw the big banana 3 times - possibly the most iconic “big thing” in Australia & she missed it!!!
Put “big attractions” into Google maps and all the big attractions in Australia come up. We love a big thing!
YES!! they're so many--love it! hoping to see the big pineapple some day :)
From what I've read about those caterpillars, they are pretending to be a snake to scare off predators. "Look out, angry snake coming through, we are fierce and deadly so don't attack us".
oooh, this makes a lot of sense!
Travel Thursday, Travel Thursday not in the van! I'm #1
🚐!!!!
josh you look like patrick wilson from insidious.. you sure you're not the same person ;) hahah
you aren't the first person to mention this! :) haha
Lol, I was thinking the same thing.
Better Call Saul goes camping.... :-)
Shame the water isn’t as clear as usual. It’s all murky from the rain 😥
at least the rain finally stopped!
To truely see Australia you need to see both the Big Banana and the Big Pineapple.
Access to fresh cheese curds. So fresh that they squeak on your teeth as you chew them! Yummy!!!!
that is correct :) gotta have the squeaky ones
u guys need an only fans !!!
queensland is humid an yuck
