BoB Airshow (Headcorn) 2024 Day 1

On 5th July, the date that the Battle of Britain Airshow began in Headcorn, Kent. It was my first visit to the show, but the weather had been miserable with very low cloud base most of the time. The original display by the Red Arrows had to be called-off. The airshow organiser had been doing its best to make changes to the programme. Many attendees waited patiently in the aerodrome with a hope to catch some of the air displays. The airshow organiser had been so kind that it offered all attendees a chance of coming back on either Saturday or Sunday. What a great offer and friendly gesture to those who attended today. The weather did not improve until around 15:00 that the air display could go ahead, performed by the teams from Yaks, Stampe, Spitfires and C47s Dakota. Despite the cut-short and changes, the air display was wonderful and fantastic. A big thank you to the airshow organiser and it was a job well done! The airshow on the 2nd day was even more fantastic. Do watch the first day's airshow while I am preparing the second part, which is more fantastic and which will be on air very soon. Enjoy.
