Yes but what's funny is that they over-exaggerate the material that appears to be unfavourable to the royal family and skimp over and dilute whatever puts the royal family in a brighter light.
I realize it. Texas USA girl here. I love the dark, dry and unapologetic honesty of British humor. I wish it were more like that here in the states. Americans are more immature - just look at the popularity of Adam Sandler movies. And they are more closed minded due to religion. Christianity in America is so different than Christianity around the world.
Olivia Williams is too beautiful, her face is too delicate and fine boned to play Camilla. Sorry to be mean... but whatever the drama the royal family had, public, private, right, wrong, whichever sides people might have taken. The real Camilla, well... she did not get much on the "face lottery assignment" some people get when they're born...
If these two had been allowed to marry years ago? Do much heartache could have been avoided. They both deserved this moment and as we know they are deeply devoted to each other still.
It showed her wisdom and strength in this speech. She loved her son . It reallybwas that simple. Camilla stood behind her man for decades. While being maligned and disparaged. Mistakes were made. But , the next king, William, was destiny. Diana in her short life gave the world a strong man who knew parental love and care. Who knew what the pit falls were and guarded against them. He was with Catherine for a decade before marriage. She KNEW what was coming. She knew the pitfalls and wicked wicked words that would make up her public life. Long before she married her prince she KNEW what she was in for. Camilla knew. She silently and with courage stood by her man. Diana is lauded by the world, but she was no angel. She had mental and emotional problems that could never be filled from childhood. She had a dozen lovers long before Charles went back to Camilla. That was not shown in this series. Due to her sadly untimely death, people rarely tell her story. It should be told.
About the only time in the series they showed her sense of humor.
Why, how do we know what she said
@@rogerfielding1117 We'd never know. All I said was this is one of the few times she was funny in the series.
@@TheGroundedAviator fair play
@@rogerfielding1117 An issue I had was how dull she always was.
@@TheGroundedAviator she had something to say about everything and nothing to say about anything
Fantastic acting just like her. And the way she speaks it is amazing how they got it so spot on.
Finally ive been needing this clip for so long it is so good. Imelda embodied her so well
I’m glad I’m not the only one hungering for this. Hahah
I totally agree!
It's umbridge
“Thanks for being a mistress and being a third person in my sons marriage and causing so much trouble for me and my family 👏🏼 “ 😂

Thank, God. Finally something light and not overly dramatic on the crown!
She is great as Her Majesty.
Actually, the 'real' speech was funnier. Pity they rewrote it, and it was diluted, BUT yes, i know The Crown isn't a documentary
Where can I read or see it.

And let's hope you don't duck this one up as well, Charles....
Did u mean to muck it up 😅😅😅
@@NatalieRabuzin Cluck it up
All's well that ends well.
One of the best scenes of the last series and a great point to end at.
Camilla should never have been thanked for bring a mistress.
She meant the years they lived together unmarried after Diana died.
OMG get over it.. Diana was not the best thing since sliced bread.

This was true of pretty much the whole cast except Diana. Far too good looking 😂

Let‘s be honest, a would probably cheated even if he married Camilla.
What did she skip in the speech?
Her abdication in favor of Charles
