This should be retitled to something along the lines of “Gannon Buhr Interview”. Based on the current title I thought it was going to be commentary on something Gannon Buhr said online. All that said, it was a very enjoyable interview and good questions.
@@thediscgolfworldyou should try to interview an old head disc golfer about why they voted for 30seconds. And how the guy that forced them all to adopt a shot clock, proceeded to always use the entire 30s 🤣
@@pbgamble I think that was the Dave Feldberg rule as before this few players took the full 30 seconds except for maybe in Master/Grandmaster with Steady Ed Hendrick but he was an old player who was one of the people who helped create modern Disc Golf in the first place taking a long time. I feel like maybe an early tour era for Ken Climo was a reason for this rule back with the first world champion win ever in 1989.
Great questions with thoughtful answers from Gannon. Nice job. I really appreciate his story about getting razzed on 17 last year and how that affected him. Gotta remember these are human beings trying to balance a lot of emotions and adrenaline. Makes the fact that he sunk it that much more impressive, as I know personally I would have crumbled like a well-baked cookie.
We chose not to float as much as normal. They float so it’s smooth so we left some aggregate showing it seams to hold the grooves. We have helped poor other pads that are already smooth as glass.
Gannon should 100% make his own company one day, there's plenty of companies outsourcing manufacturing, although for him, he'll need to build his income and reputation with a different company first. Hopefully wherever he goes will support him in starting his own company and being the manufacturing partner.
Maybe a chess style clock instead of 30 sec? If you keep throwing in 15 seconds i think taking a little bit extra in a tricky spot seems quite fair. It would also give the commentators have a bit extra time exactly when there is something good to discuss.
What a bright, insightful, thoughtful......kid. He still hasn't even fully matured yet. It's interesting to watch that as disc golf evolves, so does its talent. GB will be a game shaper for at least a decade, maybe more. And he's not ha-ha funny, but he can take a joke, and even crack one or two along the way. What's not to like?
That was a surprise, but he made good points. I disagree with him, but I look at it through a different lens. Course aesthetics are very important to me. I also don’t mind courses that keep scores close. I don’t know what the ideal separation is, but a few holes where a birdie is special are fun to watch.
👏👏👏 30 second rule is total trash as one of the best in the world here just outlined perfectly. Had no idea some jackass razzed him mid-routine last year on 17 before he made that massive putt. What a douchebag. 45 seconds seems very reasonable and a pretty basic warning system (cardmates or official if present) is long overdue. The clock shouldn't start until the player has fully established their lie and understands where the basket is in relation to that lie. Players should also be given the benefit of the doubt with abrupt noises / distractions to extend that time slightly if needed. If it becomes a problem, there's no reason the DGPT/PDGA can't adjust mid-season...
Maybe you should watch senior tour golf golf instead. Is it so awful to ask playful, entertaining questions designed to draw a top player's human side out? Maybe even see a laugh or two? C'mon, man, lighten up.

I thought the same thing, I think the interview title would get more clicks too
Thats what is does say lol!
100% agree. Great interview but super clickbait-y.
Gannon is wise beyond his years. Very mature for his age. Great to see him becoming all top pro and would bet money he becomes world champion soon.
Future goat. Write it down niw
All his points are sound and have logic behind them. Man ten years from now is going to be an interesting game
He knows his disc golf
Please - More of these interviews and keep up those unique questions. Bravo!
We’re gonna try our best to get some more!!
Such a good interview. Love the take on time. Killing it On this channel.
Thanks so much!

@@thediscgolfworld he does? i've seen him literally take a minute for a putt and miss several times, then throw a tantrum

Good questions. Good interview. I agree w/ Gannon’s circle 2 step put opinion.
Thanks!!
@7:08 for the 30 second rule
Its insane the defending champ doesnt have his license yet haha. Definitely teaching my boys this game. Maybe one will take to it
Good luck!
Gannon is the new Simon when it comes to popularity. 2.0 Simon is really likable and knowledgeable.
This is a good take
Gannon is a great guy, the sport is lucky to have him
Couldn’t agree more
Cale loving that free Airborn advertising.
Very good interview and interesting take on anhyzer vs hyzer flip.
I'm looking forward to seeing Gannon play for a looong time seems like a cool kid.
what a great interview
Thanks!!
We are truly living in a time with living legends.
Good interview
If you weren't taking notes at 3:45 to 5:17, you don't want to get better at disc golf
Thing to work on
if you've been playing for any time, you already know all that...field work improves your game, not playing rounds of golf
Love the BG D3 reference. 🤣
Had to know how serious he was

He’ll be on Discraft next.
The “take care of me” and “Chainstar Pro” seem to point that way.
Gannon’s a good egg. #getem
Great interview, hate the title. Giving Gannon unnecessary heat with it.
The question about building the car . He asked 1 friend... Alden,, 1 cartoon character...sponge bob... 1 celebrity...who was his celebrity??

Video evidence can't be allowed until every shot is subject to video. Otherwise you get enforcement imbalance that favors cards without cameras.
Agreed
100% agree about DGLO. It's boring to watch as a spectator as well.
crazy hearing gannon say that Milo is overrated
Lol he got 4th place this year too haha
But he enjoyed DeLa so his head is in the right place. Milo is incredibly pretty....hyzer backhand bombs over and over again is trash.
Very hot take

Lol Gannon wants to push the time limit back to 1 minute. Then he’ll start taking 2 minutes haha
