Also what model tractor were you pulling with? Thank you.

The drill in this video was a 4' modle, pulled by a John Deere 3520, 34 horsepower tractor.

Just checking in to see your satisfaction with this drill after a few months? Not sure if you put your fall plots in yet. What does the 4ft drill cost?

Hey Travis! The drill did very well for me all season long. I even seeded a few fall plots with it with great results.
I paid cash for my drill, so I was given that discount. But I want to say it's around $6k. I feel a good deal compared to other brands and it does just as good if not a bit better.

How many acres can you plant with a full seed box(peas, soybeans, ect)? Do they offer a larger seed box?

It really depends on your seeding rate and width of drill, but for the most part, the 4' drill I use I could seed about 2 acres of peas, beans, etc.

The only problem I see it you can't just bushhog spray and plant with this drill the ground has to be tilled first to level it out, so the cultipaker will contact the ground and cover the seeds.
Also Don't see those lightweight disks doing much good in Rocky soil. Other than that looks like a great product for small food plots with small tractors.

I guess I've never had a single problem without doing any of the steps you've mentioned whatsoever. But, that's my experience.

@@EpicWhitetailHabitatLLC Even a larger drill with the cultipacker on back isn't as good as individual packing wheels that float in individual Rows, your ground must be pretty level and flat, probably former farm land or previous plots, I am doing hills with rocks in some places, trying to establish multiple acres of high protein summer Forage. For the small food plotter on level prepared ground that looks like an excellent cheap effective tool.

It's worked great for me on my own properties and newly established client properties. Again, my experience. But I will agree individual packing wheels are great. And the cultipacker on mine is probably advantageous being it's a smaller unit. It works for me, therefore I'll promote it.

@EpicWhitetailHabitatLLC I have Tried the other More expensive ones with the cultipacker on back and all required a nice Absolutely level field, to work well. Even a cultipacker behind an old IH soybean special had to have perfectly level ground.
Glad your having good success and it is a nice unit, if it works well for you that's great, I am just being honest not trying to put the drill down every one of them has pros and Cons.
Enjoy 🦌 season 2023 best of luck, I alread have 4 acres of Labb Labb in with 6 acres of cowpeas and sun Hemp. Going to do about 8 more before the end of may.
