- Today we tried pancit palabok for the first time in The Philippines in a little local market in Sta Ana Manila.
Palabok is a super popular Filipino rice noodle dish and we had no idea what to expect.
The spot we found was called Beth's Palabok and the people there were so friendly.
We had a Pancit Palabok each with Puto, Lumpia and Siomai on the side, the food was actually pretty good.
In the end they wouldn't let us pay they wanted to give us everything as a gift which made our day.
If you're in Manila give Beth's Palabok a chance.

Where's your favourite Palabok spot? 🇵🇭
Jollibee but what you have is way better and really authentic
Jollibee ! It’s everywhere in Philippines , you should try. They’re also known for thier best fried chicken. I recommend to get the spicy one . 😁
@@aidawilson971 Thanks for recommending! On this channel we only support local businesses sorry! 🙏

@@hellogamer440 Amazing thanks yes we will have plenty of time we want to explore the country 🇳🇵
My favourite palabok so delicious yum❤
Delicious isn't it!
Nice one lad, I'll be getting some of these delights.
Cheers
Enjoy mate
Puto is best partnered with dinuguan which is a blood stew dish
We tried this soon!
I love the other version more we call it "Pansit Malabon" drier with lots of toppings!!
Ooo sounds delicious
Looks like a bao bun!
So good!
Was pretty good!
@@EllisWR it looked mint!
Smart move getting all 3 and sharing.
Makes sense to me!! 👌
You should also visit La Loma in Quezon City it's the Lechon Capital of the Philipiines and savor all the filipino dishes and of course the Lechon. You can see how they prepare the whole lechon and you can also watch how they cook the lechon.
Sounds great!
@@EllisWRthere's an ancient cemetery there also since the time of the Spanish colonization. The La Loma cemetery I think it would be nice if you can tour it
สวัสดีค่ะเที่ยวให้สนุกนะคะ❤❤🇹🇭
Thanks so much
Made me really hungry. Good that it's already snack time for me. 😊
Go get some Palabok! Where sells the best?
@@EllisWR Ahh, I have my own favorite restaurant when it comes to Palabok.
I discovered it when I was traveling north of the Country.
The name of the restaurant is N.E. Restaurant in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija Province.
They serve a lot of Filipino dishes. Very good tasting ones.
I drop by that resto regularly whenever I travel to Cagayan Province and its nearby provinces.
Btw, perhaps you might want to consider going to Batanes Islands. The northernmost province of the Philippines.
That place is spectacular and a perfect place to visit if you are a nature lover. And people there are among the kindest and most hospitable people I've ever had the privilege to meet.
I prefer my palabok with more kalamansi hehe
Good shout
Palabok with calamansi and puto is the best for me.
Good ain't it
Hospitality Thai style 😁 that was super & the food looked super too
If only the food was thai level!
u guys are awesome. From Malaysia then now Philippines.. :) pls come back to Malaysia yeah :)
Back soon! 🙏
@@EllisWR i knew it ... hahahaha
Puto in spanish could mean a bad word though 😂😂😂
Yeah ahah we speak Spanish
@@EllisWR Vigan City in the north and the heritage town of taal are just some of the most well preserved Spanish towns in the Philippines. Vigan is even a UNESCO world heritage site it's comparable to Cartagena, Colombia. There's also Las casas Filipinas de acuzar in Bataan province
How did you do with the Exit Visa? I’m hearing that it can be a real nightmare and that they look for reasons to keep your ATM card there with missed flights etc.. Thanks
Hey what do you mean? We extended our visa start of trip and when we left just got stamped out normally through immigration?
@EllisWR google exit visa Philippines I wonder now if it has changed?
@@telluriansmith8353 No problems for me or anybody I know :)
Is this in Sta Ana Public Market?
Yep that's the one!
Oh ok. Well happy to see your vlogging my place as well. The Palabok is really good thought they have some branch coz I never seen the Market entrance
@@armin_nicolas It was our first one and was delicious yeah! We have a video soon from Santa Ana area!
@@EllisWR Really! Looking forward to it soon. Just watching Tondo vlog now.
@@armin_nicolas Yes in a few days! Appreciate the support 🙏
Did you squeeze some Calamansi on your Palabok?
Yes of course!
@@EllisWR Well done. 🙂👍
Many Filipinos are getting more appreciative of vloggers like you who come to the Philippines.
They have come to realize that you help little establishments (and big ones like Jollibee too) and the Philippines on the promotion side, which is good for the economy and local people.
I already said this on one of your other videos. I'll say it again here: Thank you so much for visiting the Philippines. May all of you have a great time during your entire visit and tons of wonderful memories of our Country and People. 🙏
@@rainieresguerra-uw7on I appreciate it. We only support small businesses 🙏
Palabok is over rated and its not popular at all.
I don't care if its not popular doesn't mean it's not good?
@@EllisWR To be fair, it is not on the list of what can be called fake and it can be distinguished from other noodle dishes from China and other Asian countries where noodles are popular. Still, its lack of poularity means, its not that cultural. But yeah, it is justified to hype it.
@@eduardochavacano I didn't say its amazing it can't compare to neighbouring country's noodle dishes tbh. But it wasn't bad!
