You will realize your worth is intrinsic and not tied up in the approval of humans.
How do women OWN hair salons and never have hair or edges? I think the first thing a black owned salon KNOWS how to do is take care of NATURAL HAIR. Makes no sense.

As a hairstylist this is said sooooo much! But I always tell people that’s cool until you don’t have any and can’t grow it back. Then it’s a different story and the self esteem and insecurities hits hard. Instant gratification is never worth it in the long run
As a hairstylist, why judge? It’s your job to make them feel beautiful, not put them down, whether it grows back or not, you still have to remain positive & professional

Well they're applying them wrong then. I never put glue on my hairline. My hair is literally down my back. It's healthy and thick. Wigs are easier for some of us to maintain. I have 4c type hair and it's very tiring to do.

Yep and faulty products. She's pretty with short hair but got to let your hair breath. I'm about to cut mine off again it has grown out so much in 2yrs and that's being cut twice.
My hairstylist told me wigs particularly lacefronts,closures and frontals are supposed to be worn for a few hours maybe a day not for days, weeks and on regular basis. That is one reason why so many women edges are thin or gone.

I have a serious question because I don’t wear wigs. Why some women have a receding hairline and some women edges aren’t affected by the wigs???? The majority of the women that I’ve seen edges are completely gone but they still wear wigs????? I don’t get it
All that glue is pulling their edges off and they don't take care of their own hair.
Some don’t actually know how to install/uninstall properly so they end up snatching the wigs off , right along with their edges. As mentioned above me, the glue they use can also be damaging because I’ve seen some girls put that stuff directly on their hair….
I stay wondering what some of these women look like WITHOUT the weave and makeup..she looks lightskin and brown skin at the same time.
