You're a standup dude. Not many wouldn't just of grabbed those cars for $70. Obviously someone took care of them and she knew they were worth something but wasn't sure and you made her feel at ease. I mean that's nice and all that he threw her 30 bucks extra... but the price was $70 so there's nothing wrong with paying what she was asking.
Look how happy she was when you said that you would pay a hundred dollars. one more lesson that I got, being a reseller is not only for my own benefit but there are times when it's also for sharing.
I like you as a person and a reseller you don’t try to beat people’s down on the price of a items. You make them feel ok about the deal they make with you.

Two giant shelves full of Longaberger baskets!!!! Drool! Loved the area around that second sale...so serene. I'd sell the silver-plated tea set separately and the rest as a lot. JMHO That was so sweet to pay the lady $100. She was obviously less hesitant after you said that. Great haul!!

I have had similar situations at garage sales where people didn't realise what they had & undervalued it so I have paid what I thought was a more realistic price. On one occasion I bought what appeared to be a nice piece of costume jewelry which I thought was circa 1920s for $25. Turned out it was a genuine ruby,sapphire & emerald butterfly brooch set in siver, dated from the 1700s from India. It was appraised at $12,000, & sold to a jeweller for $10,500. I went back to the garage sale lady & she almost fainted when I handed her $5,000.

That was a nice thing you did offering that lady 100 when she was letting them go for 70. Just goes to show that you are not out to screw anyone. I also agree with you, she spent a lot of time labelling them and bagging them up. It shows that she did care about them.
Cincy and surrounding area is always good for garage sales. My parents live in Montgomery and Blue Ash and my sister lives in Indian Hills, she is always going to sales when the weather gets warm. Stay safe.

Fisher price castle is cool I had the same one growing up it’s from the 90s with the box sales for about 200.00 I also had the pirate ship I’ve been on a search for one.
