      I am no football coach, but I thought the same thing on that 3 and 8 toss early. Why are they settling with the field goal? That is what Tomlin likes to do, keep the game close and trust your defense to force the opponent to make a mistake, that´s why we are always involved in these cardiac games all the time no matter what. Sucks that we can't put games away by having an aggressive approach

    Last wk, I said I was whelmed by Artie... this wk, I am getting kinda annoyed lol. The personnel usage can be talked about for days, but wtf are these runs on 2nd & medium?? Some teams would be looking to take a shot, but it always seems like Steelers settle for 3rd & short
    Not gonna defend Pickens being mentally checked out, as professionals are expected to give a baseline of effort, but to see the way Cowboys used Lamb (compared to how Steelers use Pickens) with similar wr core speaks volumes to how outdated/conservative we are. I'm ready to celebrate anytime Pickens gets a target, while Lamb can sleepwalk his way to 10+

    • @y2kelly66
      @y2kelly66 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I didn't like the fact he wasn't being targeted, when this happens he always checks out. They need to get him some touches more early cause he's better in second half then. Nahee same way.

    Beanie bishop is an absolute liability. We need sutton back ASAP. Not only is bishop being targeted by opposing offenses and getting beat consistently, he is also committing penalties while doing it. Hes got to go

      @@MoneyTimeAGokay but bishop is a huge problem on a defense that can get better. Probably should be three safety sets until Sutton makes it back. The offense needs to be better for sure but the slot DB is a huge deal for an extremely expensive defense that you expect to be the reason we win games. It’s also improbable with players currently on the roster.

      @@tannerserrano6723 i agree he has had issues. The defense imo is fine outside of 3rd down conversions because we seem to love not getting off the field and my other issue with the defense is relying too much on tj watt. If TJ doesn’t get to the QB we almost always give up big plays or 1st downs. And stop with this soft zone coverage bs why are DBs 8+ yards away from the WRs. Offense needs to score more and maybe defense wont be as tired. But yea im more pissed at the offense rn

    GP doesn’t care if he’s a steeler or not. He’s just a player that’s in it for himself and sometimes he’s in it for his teammates (if he feels like it). He dgaf about the Steelers history and mentality it takes to be a steeler.

    Ive been wa ting to see Russ since day one. Justin may be the future, but we need to move the ball more without worrying when the kid is gonna put that ball on the ground again. It's a real problem for Justin to work on.

  • @niyidelano
    @niyidelano 4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

    I said this last year, Tomlin's vision for the Steelers for the future is based on old data. Either he needs go or he needs to understand today's game better. The Vikings have a bunch of no names on their team, and somehow they are balling. Could be that the coach we had in our house until last year actually knows how to coach. The cowboys lost 2 Ends entering this week, and a 3 in the first half but they were still able to generate pressure. Unlike our offense, the Cowboys trusted their Qb, even after making mistakes, meanwhile we are handcuffing ours because we are scared he might turn the ball over. Meanwhile, the run game that is supposed to help him is basically average to below average.
    We could be 5 and 0 entering the more difficult part of our schedule, but instead we have a coach with a 2005 mentality. This will be a frustrating season as we lose more of these close games.

    • @tannerserrano6723
      @tannerserrano6723 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      It’s way below average, it’s the worst running game in the league. Najee isn’t the whole problem but he’s for sure part of it. When Jaylen comes back he needs 15-20 touches a game, and fields should be carrying the rock like 8-10 designed runs.

    Do you think there’s gonna be some major offensive coaching changes? I think it’s just time to move forward with Pickens because it’s not working.. I get the potential in everything but when you’re visibly taking off on plays and being unprofessional then it’s just time u go somewhere else..As far as Justin he needs to be given another chance to redeem himself.. if that doesn’t happen then it’s safe to say we’ll be drafting a QB next draft

  • @cedricgreene6227

    The defense kept them in the game and they also got turnovers. In terms of the Quarterback situation, it's time to give my guy Russ a chance. I think he will get the offense going if the blocking is well.

    DB, my thought is that we knew this was the kind of games we would play this year with the WR room we have. I know we want to run, but with the injuries/youth we have and running into stacked boxes, it just doesn’t work. At the end of the day we had the lead 17-13 and needed a defensive stop (that’s what the coaches want) and the defense couldn’t get it.

    This is the lowest I’ve felt on the team post Pickett/Canada, this offense just doesn’t have the personnel. Anyways curious to see Russ run the offense, I think it will be helpful to see him to have a relevant comparison for Justin’s performances.

  • @edc8909
    @edc8909 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    It's not the defense. The defense had given the offense opportunities after opportunities and they did nothing with it. Fields, if he was a half way good QB,would have had us up by three touch downs. Before you bench warmers(fans) start defending him, compare him to CJ, JALEN, CALEB, PURDY, JUSTIN and a few others. If any QB mentioned had be given those opportunities he had, the Steelers would be undefeated 😊

    There are philosophical issues with this team that they're forcing the players to adhere to, instead of adjusting the philosophy to match their players strengths. We've seen it for almost four years. If you constantly live on the razor's edge, there's never any room for error-whether it's with execution or attitude.

    How could you say the edges ‘won’ anything?? If Dak has enough time to make the throws he made he has too much time. There were numerous plays where if they get there a half second earlier it’s at least a disrupt or an errant throw. The defense is not going to win with the secondary we have, JPJ was nowhere to be found our entire LB corps is useless against the pass. We have to win by getting qbs or the ball on the ground, and not one single trench defender truly stepped up in that regard

      @@tannerserrano6723 you’re right, the defense gave the offense several opportunities to take the lead. And any game with 4 turnovers by the opponent should be a win! In the Steelers' 20-17 loss to the Cowboys, multiple factors contributed to the defeat, but a key person who faced criticism was offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. His conservative play-calling limited the Steelers to just 233 total yards, significantly affecting their chances of securing a win. Wide receiver George Pickens was also under scrutiny for failing to make crucial catches, particularly on a third-down drop that could have changed the momentum.
    Additionally, the Steelers' run game struggled, with the offensive line failing to create running lanes for Najee Harris, which hurt their ability to control the game on the ground. Defensively, Pittsburgh's third-down defense faltered, allowing the Cowboys to convert multiple long-yardage situations, including a critical 3rd-and-14 completion
