Thanks Kurt. I enjoyed that! I was of course looking out for mentions of the Tararua Forest Park. And you didn't disappoint. The Day 73 swingbridge was the bridge over the Otaki River to Otaki Forks coming from Waitewaewae Hut! And the camp spot after/(before?) the Mangahao Dams! I was pleasantly surprised about all the waterfalls! And those big Canterbury scree slopes. And Aciphylla aurea and Aciphylla colensoi - the speargrasses! ARGHHH! All the best!
That was interesting. I couldn't help but ask myself "why" for some of the rankings. Like, why was Mangawhai Cliffs on the list, did you think it was that special? And Kea, why aren't they ranking higher, and why are swing bridges ranked at all? Some things were obvious. I guess I was judging your list ;-) But it's hard to judge without the full list. I should take more heed of the intro, ie, it is MY LIST of memories. This is a good thing to have done.
Yep…I understand. I guess this is the artistic rather than scientific part of the evaluation. Everyone will have a different opinion for sure. BTW, Mangawhai Cliffs were the first place I was really blown away by the views. While the Kea were interesting, I’ve seen them before. But they were still a memory that stuck out. Swing Bridges…I’ve had a fear of heights for as long as I can remember. The bridges challenged that initially but I got used to them. A memory for me for sure.

Thanks. It was interesting compiling clips from all the videos and hearing the different volume levels.
