    I am from Cape Town and I bullet proof all my vehicles years ago and got myself a firearm after I witnessed a brutal smash and grab happening to the vehicle right in front of me at a robot. My family, friends and wife called me crazy but look where we are today... I always knew it would come to the point where us civilians would have to bullet proof our every day vehicles and take action to defend ourselves and our families. I know not all of us can afford to bullet proof our vehicles but if u can I would suggest u do it immediately or at least get a legal gun and go for proper training because these are sad and trying times for us South Africans. These thugs won't think twice about taking a life just for some chump change. Its either ur life or thrs.

    A lot of engineering students unfortunately become maintenance workers for imported products when they should be inventing things that solve problems.
    I saw another engineer working in Anti-theft tech for banks and ATMs.
    Some other engineer was working on remote engine switches for Anti-auto theft solutions.

    If you are in security sector or often carry large amounts of money, yes get the armor. But if you are just scared and want extra protection don't do it. More security tells the criminal you have money. The more extravagant the protection the more they think you have valuables and money thus making you more of a target. This goes for cameras outside the house, rather have them inside the property. Just saying!✌🏾

    • @jimmcdougall9973

      @Slayer-kx5fz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jimmcdougall9973 I cannot disagree with your lived experience, however my take on the matter was from people I grew up with who became criminals. They would often tell us, that when you have external security measures, they then see more money, and more preparedness. This increases their expectation of resistance, whilst also increasing the expectations of "the big score". Thus making it more likely for them to use shock and awe tactics, meaning more violence and direct contact. However, if what you are doing is working, that's awesome keep doing it I would never say stop. God bless. May you continue to stay safe. 🙏🏾

    It's better to buy good cars like Mazdas, mid class Toyotas, Chevrolet, Kia, Hyundai etc....these cars keep you 95% away from car theft danger....
    VWs like Golf 5, 6, 7 & 8 are hijacked & sold locally....BMWs like X5, X6, M2, M4 are usually hijacked & sold locally also..... Mercedes like A Class, C Class like A45, C63 & G Class G63 are also hijacked & sold locally........Audi's are not typically hijacked but if they hijack em they usually target AUDI A1, A3, S3, RS3....
    All in all guys...we should stay away from all these big cars because they bring along alot of jealousy from neighbors, family members, relatives, enemies & friends....which puts your life at stake or in danger...jus becauee of a fancy car🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️...is it worth it guys??

    For everyone thinking of investing in armoured vehicles just know that your making yourself a target
    Companies only armour their vehicles if they cant hide the fact that they are a target (if you cant hide it then you better be armoured)
    But for normal citizens that aren’t escorting these type of valuables armour would just make you a target to trigger happy criminals because then it would make it look like your escorting valuables when your not

      @@bonganiskosana5114 they can only expand unto those that have bro. Us without have nothing compared to the rich and the government so the obvious targets are not us. We don't own banks, supermarkets, farms, mines ect. Don't ever forget what Cyril allowed SAPS to do to the miners at Marikana, and that was over money. Know who your REAL enemy is.

      @@DidierDubz What I mean is even that little that the poor have, it will be stolen from them. Do you know the pain of losing a R150 cellphone when it's your last hope of getting a job or running a form of a business. How about losing a bicycle that is used for traveling to go and look for work? There is no one who is not affected by crime. This is what I mean when I say they'll expand their target market, in which case it'll screw a lot of people. The rich, middleclass, poor, and poor of the poorest. A granny who gets mugged from her government pension who is looking after some children, the chain is far too long for this to be ignored.
