Thank you for those tutorials ! Learned a lot from you ! It is really useful , the video are not too-long, but covered the Mikrotik features one by one. Some of it I never know before how to use it . Keep up !
The goal of this series was to have small pieces of information per video that builds off of the previous videos instead of having a very long 1 hour video that might feel daunting to watch in one go :) Glad to see you are enjoying the content in this format :D!
Thank you for your time and sharing with people! One thing I would strongly advise against is writing anything periodically on Mikrotik's flash drive. That includes dhcp leases (not sure if it's still enabled by default). Every flash has limited lifetime, so use it sparingly if you're not planning to replace your devices after few years.
Hi mr Berg! A little off-topic question. Do you have recommendations for traffic monitoring on Mikrotik with Traffic Flow and something like ntop, prtg etc. I am looking for a reasonable easily installed software to run monitoring, especially by client IP to track usage in SME especially to see if there might be torrents running or spam bots. Basically to see if a user suddenly consumes more bandwidth. There are a few guides on Google but I can not find a nice clearly explained tutorial - I bet you'd be able to make one.
The easiest way to achieve this is to place your MikroTik between your normal router and the switch then bridge both interfaces on the MikroTIk. This will create a transparent bridge and should meet your requirements
