With the price of new Steinway D concert grands approaching £200,000, a recent second hand example such as this makes for a very compelling option. It was manufactured in c.2006 and has had just one domestic owner, an engineer who spent many years developing a bespoke self-playing system for the piano. The piano has consequently been played very little indeed and never used for performance, and as part of our preparation we have removed the player system and purchased only genuine replacement parts from Steinway where required.
