Easier to criticise a stranger than it is a mate. I guess Ole was too thin skinned to be criticised by his old buddies despite not been even remotely qualified as a manager to take charge of a club with the stature of United. Goes directly to criticise the manger now, but blamed everyone and everything but the manager when it was his mate Ole. Hargreaves is spot on. This season was Milan's first experience of champions league football for 6 plus years. Yet home and away, the gap between Milan and Atleti in the group stage was massive. The first 30 minutes in san siro, Atleti couldn't even barely touch the ball. the ref then sent off kessie and despite playing the rest of the game with 10 men, it took another horific penalty decision to allow atleti to win. In the away game, Milan completely dominated again vs a defensive and almost scared Atleti. Milan won the game late on fair and square. Tonight, man utd made them look impenetrable. Atleti almost had nothing in the final third, but man utd's slow and cumbersome movement helped them to be setup vs any attack. I was amazed by how woeful man utd were.

Too many old and luxury players. Against Spurs what won them the match wasn't just Ronaldo, it was the fact that Fred was the only player who was consistently moving in the midfield whether it was in defensive or offensive phase of play. It’s unfair to keep comparing United to the current top teams. We never compared Liverpool to the team they were in the 80’s. No one talked about Liverpool having a fail season because they didn’t win the league. During my childhood Liverpool had succeeded as long as they secured top 4 and that’s all the fans really hoped for. I think even the most optimistic fans never expected us to trump Manchester United and Arsenal and Chelsea who were financially and tactically ahead of us. Even when Klopp came into Liverpool I don’t think we were thinking ‘okay now we are going to dominate English football’
This criticism of United should stop. They’re not a top team, the players of the class of 92 are history. Alex Ferguson isn’t the manager anymore, it’s a different Manchester United now. Times move on.
They lost to Athletico Madrid…oh well…they are both evenly matched, it could have gone either way. That’s all United are now.

I might be wrong. But I don't remember Scholes calling for a proper coach whilst Ole was manager.

Scholes and Ferdi best argument when asked about Mourinho by the host is "he lost fire in his belly" LMAO. These guys dont even think about what they are saying anymore. Mourinho was an elite coach at the time.

When we start making sense! Then we can start challenging....1. Get a coach 2. sign in players we need and release all we don't use, which is more than 8

How many times have they been saying 'lets just get a good coach and give him 2 years to build a squad', aka that means spending around 300m on new players. This cycle has been going on for 8 years. Don't know if it will change

Everyone knows how Simeone plays United needed to goal first because if Simeone's team do it would be impossible pass through the defense with the whole Athletic's team

If Man United want to be able to contend for titles again then they need to hire a decent manager and then give them time. The club needs to forget the idea of being able to win a title in 1 or 2 years and instead commit to a longer term project to get the club back to winning ways. Just look at Liverpool as an example. They got Klopp (a very promising coach at the time) as a manager in 2015 and it took them 3-4 years to start winning titles, and now they're one of the most dangerous teams in the league to play against. Liverpool gave Klopp time to put a squad together and get them playing his way. Manchester United need to do the same thing now by getting a promising manager of their own and then giving them the time and space to build a winning team.

Um.. did scholes just call our vastly experienced manager inexperienced when he didn't say a word about the PE teacher for 3 years?

No more buys until they get a Quality manager.. So many are just chancers in this MU team.....They should have given Moyes more time.
