- I got cast in the role of a lifetime as the Red Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Charge. However, there is a whole side most people don't get to see. In this video, I share the truth about being a Power Ranger.

I’ve always heard how the stuntman had it the hardest. They’re the unsung heroes of this hard job for decades.
Stuntmen Suit actors were working hard since a good amount were already doing Sentai as well
The stuntmen and suit actors including the monsters - the ones where you don't often see their faces except in BTS photos, very true. Great on you for considering them.
Brennan had a lot to explain that he did not get time to mention about Claire or James post power rangers career. Claire got her Master's degree, started in a few movies (Her Worst Nightmare, Stalked by my doctor 2, Hillhead), perform in several plays out in New York, Washington D C, & Idaho, and also musical lessons and packages for upcoming performers.
James has done more acting in New Zealand and he runs his own company, Healthy Artists, in coaching artists for their future opportunities.

Power rangers is also underrated theme that people like compared to kpop, so I am glad actors are coming out to talk about the dark sides of the industry

I just finished re-watching dino charge and your channel appeared in my recommended. From what I have seen even after 8-9 years since dino charge, you are still decided to power rangers, which is good because seeing my childhood and favorite red ranger (you) just giving your love to power rangers and your experiences. Agility, poise, confidence and companionship with your Onset Ranger actors, gave you Brennan all the experience needed!!!. Haim saban's greed from the project was why PR wasn't unionized, it caused pain to some Veteran actors( ask Austin St John & Walter Emmanuel Jones), he never wanted it unionized!!! It won't be that long before the franchise goes out of stock, that he should have leant to union!!! Imagine being hospitalized without proper insurance, bro!!! You have wised up since your seasons have ended, keep it up!!!! It's going to be wild!!!!
As fan of the franchises and the series since childhood, I've had some inkling questions tucked aways at the back of my mind and surprisingly, you've actually answered some of the bts questions I've often wondered about after each season was done and hoped that maybe one day any one of the rangers from at least one of the seasons could or will either write a book or a TH-cam video covering exactly that ❤ and well, you answered that hope 😊 thank you Brennan, I hope to see you again at PowerMorphicCon in Pasadena 🥰😊
Very glad to have found your Chanel and learning more about what it was like filming, I grew up with dino charge as it’s the only season that’s easy to find in the UK and was the first one I have memory of watching so when I saw this title and thumbnail they caught my eye :) 🦖🔴

I primarily grew up with Samurai, Dino Charge, and Beast Morphers, but Dino Charge definitely is my favorite out of the three. Thanks for sharing your experiences! Can't wait to hear more from you!

Power Rangers has always been CHEAP. Buy low, sell high. Saban knew this when he started. Jason Frank once said: "Saban and Disney (when they owned PR) are a lot alike: they're both cheap."

Hey man im robin on your twitch i really enjoyed this insight i remember loving this as a kid dino charge i fell in love with Never got enough of it it genuinely was my favourite show back then here in uk it was on a tv channel pop i remember dino charge would repeat i would watch the episodes again anyway then superdino charge came out i would watch every week to get new episodes it was my absolute favourite i will never forget what u guys did for me i love u all and am grateful to have spoken with u and played smash with u also!
This is funny because I just started binge watching some of the newer power rangers series I haven’t seen,and Dino charge is started to become my “newer” favorite.

I feel like a lot of the accolades and fame won't be felt until your particular audience grows up and becomes nostalgic. It's not a bad thing, but maybe something to anticipate and prepare for through side-gigs or backup plans (studying, side business, etc).

IIRC, that stipend you mentioned for moving to NZ was the key factor in a lot of alumni (especially the older cast members from the Saban Era shows) declining to appear in Megaforce for the Legacy team-up with all of the past teams up to that point.

As someone who has worked and lived abroad for more than a year, at a young age (25 to 27). I completely understand the homesick feeling, it hits you out of nowhere even when you have a connection to him or have amazing new friends.
The mental toll is so much more difficult than you expect and you Co stsnrly ask yourself "why am I doing this".
Great Video. In some ways I thought of actors as contract work, which is most of my career. Get hired and the contract is a 2 year contract, so going in you know when it starts and when it ends.

Yes Power rangers was banned here in NZ for the longest time even though a lot of it was filmed here. It's a shame that it's not being filmed here anymore it was good for our film industry. I lived pretty close to the studio where they filmed parts of them too

Hi, I just wanted to say I love Power Rangers ever since I was little. it would either be Power Ranger Dino charge or samurai.That would be my favorite. My mom used to get mad at me because I used to rewatch the same thing over and over again and some people will be like you’re a girl and you’re watching power rangers.

That was very interesting. The OG Green Ranger (may his actor Jason David Frank rest in peace) - is my favorite, always has been since he debuted. As a young man, as much of a fantasy and want it was to be on the show one day, even one of the villains - even I knew it was just a TV show, people have real lives, bills they have to pay, families to be with and look after - they are human beings with real world problems, needs and work to do. Since growing up a lot of my views on Power Rangers have changed. Not for the worse, but for the reality of things. It was absolutely refreshing to hear you talk about the reality of it. Thank you very kindly.

In my home town, I have been getting type cast as the comedic relief, and the disabled characters. I got old man jenkins, then crutchie the year after, type casting is real...

I was 20 when Dino Charge came out, and man, that first opening theme, seeing a Ranger (character) that not only shared my name, but a Red Ranger at that, was definitely a childhood dream come true, and as a result you've always stuck out in my mind as one of my favorite Red Rangers.
Man I had the same experience when I first saw Lightspeed Rescue.

8:40 Weirdly that makes sense. Your team is full of Time Force fans, so you may appreciate this: I still remember how I was playing Black Ops II and learned that Karma was played by Erin Cahill, aka Jenn Scott, and thought "Huh, I can't remember a single project of hers in between those two."
Love this! I feel like in that situation, even before the staff recommended it, my gut instinct would be to hit up - in your case - Yoshi and Michael (Assuming James worked from home or whatever) the second you knew their names and be like "Y'all wanna find a three-bedroom BNB to rent out?" Especially if that meant possibly stopping Saban from - to exaggerate a bit - fleecing you guys by recommending an expensive part of town if you already had something else picked out.

Well really after MMPR it was only one season up until RPM. The two season formula started with Samurai. Also, how are u filming this? Do u have a cameraman?
If you didn't (at least initially) agree to live in the share house; chances are they would have let go and recast anyone that didn't want to get with the program. Heck - there's nothing stopping a Dino Charge ranger making a mid-season trip to a Swiss 'Peace Conference'. Davi knew what the deal was and decided to be a pimp because of his reduced episode count. On the flip side, living together helps to build the screen connection with the other actors, which is what they may have intended.
I was one of the putty patrollers on mighty morphin and it was hard to find work after the season ended
The thing im intrested abt hearing the most is the process of filming the morphing sequence

i think you should make a video about why you're not allowed to do your own stunts and the differences between your job and the stunt people's job. a lot of people still think that power rangers are the same people behind the suit, so i think it's a good idea to give more insights about that

Brennan, you were seriously an amazing red ranger and brought so much energy to the show! If you weren’t the red ranger, what color would you choose next?
I think the guys from Mighty Morphin probably set the president for what it was going to be like, I assume the pay got better e.g. reason 3 cast members were replaced red, yellow and black. Other than that, you can sorta see what's happened to everyone before so you know what's coming, like you said, bitter sweet. I think the most well known would be Jason Frank aka Tommy Oliver (may he RIP), I think he probably became the most recognized of any season of rangers.
Just subscribed! Gotta say man, I loved you on the show and think Tyler was one of the best red rangers. Thank you for doing this channel and these videos as well, it's great seeing how the show impacted your life during and after. I am curious about something I hope you could answer for me. I've heard rumors (and I stress that word) that ranger actors are not able to do certain roles or types of roles for a few years after the show is over. Is there any truth to that? Are you limited by what you can or cannot do?

Very informative; this sounds a lot like what the MMPR cast went through in the beginning of the franchise: non-union, crazy hours and pay, and a lot of work that you’d really have to be passionate for or you’d get burnt out really quickly.
Incidentally, have you considered voice acting? I’ve heard a few Power Rangers actors either shifted careers into it or dabbled from time to time (Johnny Young Bosch is a prime example, but Daniel Southworth and David de Lautor have provided their voices for video game characters like Vergil from “Devil May Cry”)
I want to voice act so badly!!! Just need to break into it somehow haha
