    I want to thank you because I really didn't want to cut the red ACC cable and you were the only video that showed another way by inserting the cable from the remote unit in the plug. It worked perfectly so thanks from Thailand.

    Hi, Thanks. I have Wagon R 2015 model and I have fitted an android now.
    Do you suggest me to install the steering control keys as you mentioned.
    How is the performance after 2 year.
    How long the lithium-ion batteries last? a year or 2?
    Also, can we mount with screws on the steering plastic part.
    When you press the buttons whether the horn also gets pressed?

      Yes, the remote is very useful. You can buy a clip-on type remote which can be mounted on steering wheel instead of adhesive. The adhesive does not stick with rubber back properly that is to be stuck on the steering arms, it falls down sometimes. So either use a some glue or bond not 2 sided tape OR else buy a clip-on mount type remote.

      I’ve corrected the diameter, just measured it using scale, it’s 400mm with sleeves & 350mm without sleeves, updated it above

    I have Pioneer DMH-A340DAB and don't have in menu an option for Steering Wheel control ( in settings ) . The unit have a 3.5" jack SWC and i have the cable with Key 1 and Key 2 and Ground. Do you believe if i conect ONLY the wires ( Key 1 , Key 2 , Ground , 12V ) will work ?

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I am aware, the direct OE remote control mappings for Pioneer AHUs have worked, but for this you need to check it with Key 1 at least as this has one line Key 1

      @@automotriztechnica I found similar lile yours with 4 wires ( Key 1 , key 2 , Ground , 12V ) . I bougth my Pioneer unit a moth ago and i need steering wheels . I saw many videos reviews and i believe not only need wires conection but also to program the keys and this option have only the Android Units, my Pioneer have nothing like this in menu and i am afraid to buy these Steering wheel remotes.

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Pioneer touch AHU systems, you need to turn OFF all the source input like Radio/CD/DVD/USB playback etc., to OFF and then only the Steering wheel control from Settings will be activated, else they are greyed out. Please check if your unit supports the Steering wheel control for your region. If yes, then you can program the steering wheel control Keys.

      @@automotriztechnica At Settings i have not an option Steering Wheel control ( let it be gray ) , nothing !! I don't know if i plug the 3.5" jack WSC cable with Key1 - Key2 - Ground conections if the option appears , but i don't believe. Someone told me that it will work if your unit have 3.5" jack Steering wheel input , don't need an option from setting to program the keys one by one. Only Android Unit which have not 3.5" jack SWC input need to program the keys .

      @@jimmis1974 The information is correct, Android’s need mapping. It works with Pioneer systems as some of my friends mentioned, I have not tried yet as I do not have a Pioneer, but will check and update you soon by asking a known seller and Pioneer Authorised Dealer. The pattern of signals going on the wire will be at the matching speed of the latest Head Unit for steering wheel remote.
      I would suggest to check with the Pioneer Support before buying the remote, also there are professional installers who might have tried and tested this with their customers. They may highlight some info on it.
