I bought an '04 Celica when I arrived in Okinawa last summer and shortly after buying it I noticed when idle and only with the A/C on, the car would slightly vibrate. It has never been violent enough to cause concern, but recently I've seen the RPMs flutter just slightly when decellerating. So I think I'll give this a shot next time I change the oil and see if it helps.
Cool. Now I’ma go see if this fixes my problem. Just acquired a 2002 Celica GT, and tbh, I kind of planned to do a ton of custom mods on this car. Now that I’m old and can afford it, I wanna build a custom Japanese hot rod (or as my kids would say, a “fast and the furious car”).
It's a good idea to keep the battery unplugged while removing sensor. It could cause an engine light code due to the change of air flow. It needs to reset.
My Idle is at 1000 rpm? runs good but is this TPS issue? cleaned the Throttle Body and MAF did disconnect the Negative seems to be be running ok. diagnostic No codes or check engine l light
Yes make more content I just picked up a 2000 Toyota Celica pretty nice shape not like yours of course but I'm interested in doing a lot of things to it thank you for your input
Hey, when u r cleaning the throttle body, should i wait until the cleaner evaporates in that path before starting the car or i need to always take it off completely ?
Hey man im getting a wierd "p2442" code for my secondary air injection pump stuck closed... would this be a solution? Considering it still contols emissions as well as air ratio..
Nice and usefull video bro!I have a cold air intake(injen)too. My celica had the same problem with maf(c. engine light).I clean that like u and now i smoke the bmw guys as always..I live in Greece(*Athens)and the most of people love japan🇯🇵 cars. The rich (bmw-mercedes-audi) car owners always "kiss our ass".Good job!
You can try with MAF cleaner, do NOT do the opposite way. Carb cleaner leaves solvent that can eat at MAF sensor. MAF cleaner is very clean and safe, I would try it and see if it clears out the path - I know carb will for sure take out funk, if it's not a big build up I'm sure MAF Cleaner will too!
@@ConnorNation well for some reason my celica doesn't have that little opening at the bottom left of the throttle body but there is an opening on the top right, is that the same thing? 😄
If the engine itself is a 1zz motor (found in GT) and is model year 2000-2002, the internal shape of the pistons and rings causes oil blowby which essentially sends oil into the engine and is consumed without you seeing. This was fixed in 2003. Any 2zz motor or 2003+ 1zz shouldn't have this issue, so something else would be at play.
Hey I just bought a 2000 celica 5 speed and I notice after a day or two when I shift to second and press on gas all the way to accelerate the rpm struggles feels like not power or sluggish do you know what it could be I changed the spark plugs a ignition coil but still keeps doing it any advice thanks 🙏
Tbh haven't driven my car much. Mayne 2 or 3k miles since I got it supercharged lol. But never has had idle issue. What's your eCU idle set to? On PFC?
I set mine higher, to 1100 RPM then comes down to 900 RPM. Cold start temp RPM should be 1500 max on a 2zz with heater on, and then come down to 900-1100.
@@ConnorNation is it badillo live in nh and its during winter it starts a cold start at 2000 for idel then calms down to a 1000 rpms ounce the car is warm
@@ryangarrison3295 ECU runs rich when starting from cold. If you are starting your car with heat on it will need more power to start and keep everything going before settling out. Sounds about right to me. In summer is it less?
People do not disassemble them. Only unbolt to clean. You buy a new module if you need to tear it apart. If its locked up you need a whole new one, you can't replace it. This just shows to clean the certain port.

How's that working out?
Electronic cleaner, nice touch. I just cleaned my maf with a Q-tip.
Another good solution. You just have to be very very gentle to not break the sensor.

Thanks! Been meaning to do this. Now I can do it this weekend.
What compress air can you use I don't want to buy one that the can shots out more liquid then air.
Wish I could buy this from you. Always wanted a second celica. This one is beautiful. Be safe god bless.
I'll see you my 6 speed GTS, looks like crap though.
😊 sounds good. What’s your mileage? What does it look like 😊
Nice one Man
They should have PNW Celica Club in the future like one in NorthCali

do you have to take the throttle body off, to clean the ICV?

Only electrical contact cleaner for the iacv?

where did you get that lip wing?? It looks sooo good.
This is called a BB lip! You can get them from Japan (BrashBoy), or buy replicas on eBay.

My 350z is doing the same thing 😢 I tried so many things except this.
oh my god thank you
