  • Terry Danziger-Miles gives an intimate, first-hand account of working at Marlborough Fine Art and spending time with Francis Bacon and those around him. His recollections include Bacon's muse George Dyer, Valerie Beston at Marlborough, and artists Denis Wirth-Miller and Richard Chopping.
In our 'Francis Bacon: First Impressions' series of interviews, each interviewee was asked ‘What were your first impressions upon meeting Francis?’
First Impressions is directed by Harriet Vyner and produced by the Estate of Francis Bacon in partnership with HENI Talks.

Crazy interesting, this is worth gold. These interviews you are posting don't find a large audience and that's understandable. But clips like this one will have a long life, a long life indeed. Thank you, I really appreciate what you do!

I think Terry was involved with Francis during the most interesting part of his career. His paintings from the mid 1960's - mid 1970's were his best in my opinion.

One never tires of these interviews. Snatching little fragments. And the humanity of Francis Bacon never fails to shine through. Thanks for posting.
