    This is almost as good as listening to a Francis Bacon interview. Wonderful.

    Superb. No arty-farty condescension, just simple, concise, deep insight that enhances the appreciation of the artist's work.

    Truly excellent, warm, informative ALIVE talk. Most damn modern curators these days seem to be fey intellectuals dressed in black, devoid of passion. Anthony Bond is vivid, alive, creative, friendly, communicative. I will search his other talks. 100% thanks!!!

    This is one of the most perceptive, incisive and completely informative explication of Bacon and these works. Anthony Bond is a wonderful speaker, and his deep insight and intelligence regarding Bacon is so evident. He captures all aspects of the artists work -- and importantly, Bacon's irreverent humor. As someone who has read almost all of the works written on Bacon, Bond elevates my understanding of the artist. Absolutely marvelous introduction.

    Bacon's use of chance is very modern. I bump into this way of painting constantly. What I see in his painting is solutions, that work. For him. They are good. He has sorrowful uniqueness, which is highly important.

    Fascinating. Learned alot from this. This guy is so great to listen to. He doesn't do the 'art' waffle. 👌❤️💯 I'm a neophyte artist and Im learning so much from researching Bacon's work.

    Does anyone know where I might find a high resolution image of the polaroid shown at 5:36? And is it George Dyer in the image?

    WHAT'S THE ORGAN MUSIC?
    I Shazamed the closing music, it leads into "7 Burnham Street" by Colombo,
    but that isn't the organ music which haunts the interview.

      I have to agree this is had to be on most boring videos I have had the displeasure to watch. How do you gone for almost an half-hour discussing in detail about the works and show very little?

      I thought the 'some guy' was great - awesome insight and understanding. Plus, I hate to sound shallow but I find him quite hot - handsome and well spoken, with a lovely countenance about him.

    • @LaughingStock_
      @LaughingStock_ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'd say the art of Bacon is way beyond your intellect if you consider this gentleman's fascinating insight to be "groaning on". Pearls before swine, sir, pearls before swine.

    there's virtually no images in this - it might make a good podcast but a waste of time as a 'film'

    • @LaughingStock_
      @LaughingStock_ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Are you serious? You come here to listen to the curator, not view Bacon's work. The gentleman is fascinating.
