Is repairing an S17 model similar to repairing a DR5? I see the hash boards are pretty much alike, but maybe something differs... I just runned into a falling heat sink problem.
Do you have an idea what type of solder it was originally manufactured with? Possible lower melting point would cause heat sink to fall off pre maturely.
Excellent video. Just happen to be working on a 17 right now with the same issue. But I can't find any 130 degree solder & flux anywhere. The only 130 I've found is resin core and .5 in size. Can you send me a link?

does it matter which hashboard goes in which slot? i assume no, but just making sure. I repaired some heat sinks, but the board is still not working with no other apparent damage
Hello antminer repair I was trying to figure out a way to reach out to you but this was the only way. I have a S 17 Pro which I overheated and six heat sinks fell off and one is loose it’s the heat sinks on the chip side I wanted to get your opinion. Most of the Solder on the chip part is off but the heat sinks still have Solder on them I am afraid to resolder them and throw a solder ball and short the circuit. I have cool master high-performance thermal paste is it safer to try to remove all the solder from the heat sink and the chips and use the thermal paste or do I place the heat sink with some chip quick on the chip and heat the heat sink and try to fuse it again .what should I do please and thank you?
This was more informative about 'tech work' in an 18 minute video than a 4 year EE degree. Keep up the good work

I appreciate that!

Is there any way you can tell me what to buy, like desoldering gun, flux, etc?
please help me s17+. unequal voltage ranges. test is still enough number of chips . The signal pins are still there. I'm stuck

Look at chipquik.com
Do you have experience with black glue that zeus sells? I was thinking that is what is used for replacing heat sinks.
Not on the 17 series machines. Except maybe the T17e. They must be soldered
hi. can you tell me wich model of chip is good for t17 and t17+
Please look at zeusbtc.com and look for the BM1397 chip. There is a table in the description that maps chips to miners. Thanks!
Why my hashboard asic 32#
make a video on t17e repair
I probably would if I had one.... right now I don't have one!
Чего тебя интересует?
Как чипы правильно выращивать, как их проверять, Поподробнее пожалуйста. Какой припой, температура

Any chance I could send you a t17 miner that needs work? Many broken chips and detached heat sinks. My guess is the boards got dropped..
Hi, You might want to ask on our discord server if anyone can help you. Right now, I'm very full with projects. Thanks.

No, it doesn't matter. Thanks
Why You have not a Quick 861 DW. I feel how you are suffering.))))
Bad chip = good chip.
