I am an old lady i was not a rap fan at all. But when i was introduced to 2Pac's music many years ago omg he grabbed a hold of my heart and never let go. R.I.P. Sweetheart i pray you found the peace you so longed for on earth but never achieved. Awesome reaction.
same but i am old man and a metal head all my life and tupac is the goat imo
Yes. Tupac gave me my first real appreciation for hip hop. You didn't need to know the life, but his passion certainly made you feel it.
The singers name is Talent. Pac wrote this song when he was only 19! That says a lot
The piano & 'That's just the way it is' lyric, are taken from Bruce Hornsby & the Range song - 'The Way It Is' 1986
😊 I read that 2pac really liked Bruce Hornsby..and intentionally chose to sample..it's perfection❤
One of the few rappers whose message went worldwide. He was an amazing story teller. He truly was a one off
The video came out after he died. That was tough year for hip-hop. Tupac was light years ahead of everyone else. His vision for the future was so far ahead. Definitely check out his BET interview with Ed Gordon and his MTV interview as well as his music. Enjoyed your reaction!
The most prophetic bars often get overlooked in this masterpiece
'Cause I always got to worry 'bout the pay backs
Some buck that I roughed up way back
Comin' back after all these years
Rat-a-tat, tat, tat, tat, that's the way it is’
RIP Tupac Amaru Shakur
Life goes on, Shorty wanna be a thug, How long will they mourn me, Brenda’s got a baby, Can’t see me and California Love…..all bangers!!!!!!! Tupac was the realest, give that man all the credit he deserves cuz he’s definitely the GOAT!!!!!
Pac is the greatest song writer ever imo. Too many deep lines and topics to be overlooked. Nobody talked from his heart like Pac did. Raw, real and passionate. RIP 🐐
He recorded this song in the early 90s but it was released a few years later in 1998, posthumously.
It samples The Way It Is by Bruce Hornsby and the Range which hit #1 in 1986. Bruce Hornsby was also in Ambrosia, who had a lot of hits in the 70s and early 80s.
Tupac has so many great songs, so you really can’t go wrong with any of them. There is a reason why he’s a legendary artist.
He was assassinated at 25. Most of his songs were released posthumously. He was considered the one of the goats when he died. Him having so many unreleased songs to release many great albums after he died solidified him as the goat for me
Miss Tupac😥😥his lyrics were spot on and deep. When he said 2 shots now Huey’s dead is referring to the leader in the black panther party.. his mother was also in the black panthers Afeni Shakur
So glad to see new/younger fans appreciate Tupac s poetry, the way my generation has.
Dude this song hits me hard in the heart ! Never knew this man but i love him like a brother !
What's up im Paul white Boy from Utah I watch you every day keep it 💯 love it Our government wants us to be divided. Push us Against each other. We all want the same. Take care of our family. Make a little money. And I have to worry about. We're gonna sleep at night. So everybody out there. We need to come together. The majority of all of us are good people. Peace out, my friend.🤘🤘
Man, that "Rat-a-tat-tat" always gets me...I remember when Pac and Biggie died...I had gotten into rap about a year before and Pac, BIG, and Bone Thugz blew my mind....I was stunned when Pac and Biggie were killed (also Easy-E who died from HIV/AIDS as did another of my heroes, Freddie Mercury)...I then knew how it felt when so many fans of the rock greats that I was raised on: Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, ect. died so unexpectedly at what seemed the height of their creativity...I won't even get into Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington...Damn, I never really thought about how much it hurts...
There’s no arguments to be had. He’s the GOAT! 🐐
The guy doing the vocals on the Bruce Hornsby sample, is Talent.
Growing up in the 90s, I remember the whole Westcoast vs Eastcoast battle. 2pac on one side and Biggie on the other because they were both the best. Biggie was a technical genius. His freestyles and wordplay was crazy, but Pac had this ability to make you feel everything he was saying (not saying Biggie couldn't). No matter who you were or where you were from, you felt it.
He wrote this song as a sequel to Bruce Hornsby's Some Things Will Never Change. If you do a full breakdown of the lyrics, you see the beautiful, but damaged soul that was 2Pac. It took channeling a lot of hurt to write such a powerful song.
Rest in Power Pac, from your biggest white fan.
"How can the devil take my brother if he's close to me" that a bar right there
2Pac could surprise you with the smooth tunes
The last verse, the ending of the verse hits so hard, he says he always has to worry about some punk he beat up way back coming back for revenge and shooting him. He got killed right after having a fight.
Love Tupac. One of my faves is Only God Can Judge Me Now. Others are You Can't See Me, I Ain't Mad At Ya.
This was the first I'd heard of Tupac-qnd I was sold.Hope Tupac receives long awaited and deserving JUSTICE. Big included of course
The Way It Is" by Bruce Hornsby and the Range, and samples the drum loop from the 1984 song "Set It Off" by Strafe. "Changes" was further influenced by the 1972 hit "Changes" by Black Sabbath
Greatest artist of all time for Hip pop yes
2pac is most definitely a GOAT! So glad to see you do this, and hope you dig into more! And this coming from an old AF white lady!🤣🤣
this song is like Tupac's version of MLK's I have a dream speech
Simply the GOAT. RIP legend 🔥
makaveli - hail mary. It's an alias of tupac. Thx for sharing your reactions
surprises me everyday when people say they havent heard tupac songs makes me feel old af🤣
Tupac was not only talented he was smart. He had a beautiful smile but it never reached his eyes. There was sadness in his eyes. He really wanted people to get it together. Unfortunately we are still divided. SAD. My son introduced me to Tupacs music years ago. I have remained a fan.
2pac is the GOAT
REST IN GLORY KING PAC!!!
Pac was different, he would die for the things he said... scary stuff!
I was watching this to see how far you could go without stopping. You did well, lol. That opening 8 or so is just too powerful.
To me Pac is the best rapper of all time. Lyrics are tight and his flow is amazing. Gone too soon.
Bro he grew up in the 80's ! Things were different back then! Really really different !
My first video and subd. Nice commentary and reaction man. Many of Tupac's songs carried a message. They make you step back and think a little. I truly think he would have been president if he didn't pass
Great song. U have to Check out Bruce Hornsby and the Range that"s just the way it is, that's the original! Great song as well!!!!
Youngblood!That right!RIP PAC!Miss ya brother
First of all, I absolutely love this song, and have ever since the first time I heard it. I'm not a huge fan of rap, but the man is absolutely right... we have to make changes in how we see and treat each other. That said, I hate how prevalent the idea of the south being racist is. People have been told their entire life "That's just the way it is" to quote the song, but it's not as true as people believe. Of course there are racist idiots here, just as there are everywhere. However, I can tell you right now that I, along with most people here would welcome you with nothing but open arms and love in my small town in Alabama, and I would gladly step up to stand with you against anyone who has a problem with someone because of their skin color. Don't be so quick to believe the lies because all that does is serve to keep us further divided and believing that there is reason to continue to hate each other. Love your content, man.
Love 2Pac..RIP. ❤
Aww man...u gotta Tupac's "Hail Mary" now...
The ultimate
It's Talent who sings the hook in this track❤
Your right, it is sad that the lyrics are still relevant today after all these years.
Bruce Hornsby is the vocalist in the background, wish there was a time machine and you could see what the world looked like on the West Coast in the 90's
Thanks for the reaction! I’ve loved this song since I can remember
3 days ago you uploaded that you listened to changes for the first time, and now breaking news today , 27 years later, they make an arrest in connection with his murder. 👌👍 Amazing
Great reaction! One of my favorite Pac songs. Btw love the 😺 just chillin there
The brothers name who’s singing on “Changes” is Talent.
2Pac- Keep Ya Head Up
He used a lot of samples and other ppls songs to rap over but he did them right. His voice and style was dope
2PAC 4ever Legend till the end of time
Talent is the person singing in the background
❤the original and ❤this ..poetic and powerful.. both versions
1:38 i swear cats can sense a shift in their owners energy. Even he felt that line. 😂
Hey Shon, Tupac is a legend, thanks my bro for react Tupac, RIP
The GOAT!
Considering what we know about pacs murder now...the final verses are very chill inducing almost as if he predicted it himself
Awesome reaction.
Thanks for the reaction. One of the true American poets.
Great reaction!
Love 2Pac, you should react to I ain’t mad at you (not the clean version) one of my faves from him.
How have you not heard this 😂
Shout out to your cat sleeping in the background 😹
Do the whole "All Eyez on Me" album
The remix of him and Phil Collins looking back in the rearview is fucking awesome and the beginning of this song is sampled
Your cat's killing me with cuteness.
Zero way your 1st time hearing this song. You're appreciation for & knowledge of music started with a mama that's GenZ
Hell raizer and tradin war stories are straight fire and weren’t mainstream hits by him but you can’t go wrong with anything pac made. His reach in politics came from his mother she was in with the black panthers and pac grew up around all that. His documentary is well worth the watch
Still need a war on poverty. Please react to more Pac. Maybe on from his 1st album...Words of Wisdom or Violent
Can’t say enough about 2Pac, def need to check more out, but yo, also peep Bruce Hornsby & the Range “The Way It Is” because it’s 🔥…Pac sampled it, it influenced “Changes” and definitely did some heavy lifting which contributed to making Changes so great.
so many great pac songs. Ghetto Gospel and I ain't mad at cha not a bad place to start ;P
Bro if you do a whole album, I recommend Me Against the World!
2pac took this music from Bruce Hornsby 'That's the Way it is'
You have got to deep dive on 2pac.... He'll change your whole way of thinkin.... All early 90s hip hop
Do the Makaveli album and me against da world album
Gangsta hiphop in the 90's, man, that was a different world.
The music world asks, "who shot Tupac?!?", just listen to his profound words, he'll tell ya🤘🏼
What a great artist the music world lost. Lyricist, vocalist, composer, producer, actor, prophet, orator.
Ck out Bob Marley, the gov'ment gave him a pair of boots as a gift and a pin inside one boot pricked his toe, then soon after he got cancer and died...chemical warfare like.
Marley is another great artist, please hear his words too
We waiting for pac. Do holla at me
Ur one of my fav reaction. Keep it up.
Great reaction. You "get it".
❤❤❤
