Regarding autonomous vehicles in public transport .....i remember i have seen a one in my city....five years ago. It was a cab for a short bus track. It vanished a few years ago, but it was in operation for a year or more.
i'm shocked at the pace of robotics. i figured blue collar jobs like had a few more years before ai threatened it. not anymore. even if these robots cost $100k, they'd easily pay for themselves in a year or two. plus, they basically work 24/7/365.
I know this sound almost on par with Allied Mainframe. If automated driving becomes the dominant use for road infrastructure and then the incurred cost must be passed on to those companies and roads are typically very very expensive to build and maintain. Data infrastructure should be built straight into the road surfaces because the usage required for data infrastructure will become too competitive with separate data warehousing.
The first robot was definitely CGI there were too many red flags that seem computer generated. But the biggest giveaway was there were no people. People are hard to generate or work around. If you don’t have people then it’s very easy to make something look real.
Elon being more involved in government, especially under a government that wants less regulation, autonomous vehicles are going to be everywhere next year.

As RoboTaxis become more common in cities, police departments need to update their strategies to monitor and regulate these autonomous vehicles effectively. A major issue is pulling over a RoboTaxi that is speeding or driving erratically since there's no human driver to interact with or hold responsible. This makes enforcing traffic laws more challenging for law enforcement. Additionally, managing incidents involving RoboTaxis poses new challenges, including handling accidents, cybersecurity threats, and ensuring compliance with existing laws. Authorities must collaborate with technology companies and regulators to create guidelines that ensure RoboTaxis operate safely and responsibly. Moreover, developing advanced tools will be essential for traffic cops to manage and intervene with autonomous vehicles without hindering their ability to enforce the law.
There are several laws regarding autonomous vehicles going back roughly a decade. Each state has their own laws, and they are enforced by state and local ordinances. Not all states allow fully autonomous vehicles, but legislature is in place for when they do and precedent has been set for many of them. I'm sure legislature will evolve as the vehicles evolve. In much the same way as passenger vehicle laws have evolved over the years.
Absolutely, but the absence of a human driver to hold accountable introduces significant challenges in effectively enforcing traffic laws. Without a person to take responsibility for the vehicle's actions, it becomes more difficult for law enforcement to address issues such as speeding, erratic driving, or other traffic violations. To overcome these obstacles, it's essential to develop more sophisticated monitoring systems that can accurately track and assess the behavior of RoboTaxis in real-time. Implementing advanced technologies like AI-powered surveillance, real-time data analytics, and automated reporting can provide authorities with the necessary tools to monitor these autonomous vehicles effectively. Moreover, fostering strong collaborations between law enforcement agencies and technology companies is crucial. By working together, they can establish comprehensive guidelines and protocols that ensure RoboTaxis operate safely and within legal boundaries. This partnership can also facilitate the creation of standardized reporting mechanisms for incidents involving autonomous vehicles, making it easier to manage and respond to emergencies or violations promptly. In addition to monitoring and regulation, there is a need for continuous updates to legislation to keep pace with the rapid advancements in autonomous vehicle technology. This includes defining clear accountability frameworks for manufacturers, operators, and software developers to ensure that there are designated parties responsible for any malfunctions or accidents involving RoboTaxis. Furthermore, investing in public education and awareness programs can help both law enforcement and the general public understand the capabilities and limitations of RoboTaxis. This understanding is vital for fostering trust and cooperation between all stakeholders involved. By integrating these advanced monitoring solutions and strengthening the collaboration between authorities and tech companies, we can better manage the integration of RoboTaxis into our urban environments. This approach will help ensure that autonomous vehicles contribute positively to society by enhancing transportation efficiency and safety while maintaining strict compliance with traffic laws and regulations.

The TH-cam video features the phrase "Add real flesh and you have a human," highlighting significant advancements in AI and humanoid robotics. Xeg’s humanoid robot amazed many by appearing so lifelike that viewers initially mistook it for CGI, showcasing how closely robots are beginning to resemble humans. The Nadia robot demonstrates exceptional mobility with 29 joints, enabling it to perform dynamic tasks such as boxing and unlocking doors. Google's Gemini 2 is currently undergoing testing and is expected to outperform previous AI models. Amazon’s Zuk robo-taxi has launched real-world trials in San Francisco, marking a major milestone in autonomous vehicle technology. Frontier Math has introduced a benchmark revealing that current AI systems solve less than 2% of complex math problems. Politically, President Trump plans to repeal Biden’s AI regulations, potentially accelerating AI development without strict oversight. Those who assert that they never involve themselves in politics are, in fact, shirking their civic duties and responsibilities. By choosing to remain disengaged, they neglect the crucial role they play in shaping policies, influencing societal change, and contributing to the democratic process. Avoiding political participation means they are not actively involved in decisions that impact their communities, their country, and the broader global landscape.
