Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

@@peachtea-ij8dn-- Does any amount of lift from blades or wings disqualify a craft, or could this work if the blades were internal? What about a ducted fan?
The only thing untankly about this build is the lack of tank tracks otherwise this does classify as a flying tank given how tanky it is.
What's next? A Big Ol' mech walker VS mini mechs?

I find it funny that Scrapman basically stopped protecting himself, and he didn't try to abuse the time it takes for respawns to get back in the fight by moving further away from the spawn point
Holy crap, these builds are like "What if War oriented alien vs humans" The amount of repairs... Just wow, and the fact we didn't even see half of Scrapman's fight.

of course with a little bit of limits, like balancing so they have generally similar amount of defense and weapons

@@FailRaceFan Squids do, in fact, only have two tentacles. They have eight arms, though. In addition, Squidward is actually an octopus, and octopi have eight arms and no tentacles.

Watched a video of yours from 5 years ago (ikr) and thought of a crazy build challenge. That video was "Glider detaches from plane for the most peaceful ride ever" and seeing the micro glider fly so straight and calm on its own made me think, you guys should all build a plane and glider combo that can not only drop a glider but then CATCH it too. Where there are two challenges, one where you stay in the launcher plane and catch the unmanned glider, the other where you start in the glider, drop yourself, then fly back INTO the launcher and try to jump back into a seat in the launcher plane and then land with both of your craft intact!
overpowered battleship vs torpedo planes

If there are 3 players, then maybe 1 normal bomber and one torpedo bomber, but the ship speed needs to be at 30 km/h constant speed and turning using only fins
sounds interesting but the only issue is that the torpedos can be shot so the battleship would be pretty close to impossible to kill.
@@FranklinSombilon It'd be closer to 39-64 kmph if you wanted a more accurate average battleship speed (23-35 knts.) That's at least the range of speed from the USS Texas BB-35 and the USS Iowa BB-61. There are probably faster and slower battleships in history, but those are two fairly notable ones, with the Iowa still being around today.
@@steeljawX I chose 30 km/h because it's already an overpowered ship w/ shields and a buttload amount of guns, so it doesn't need to be historically accurate so it would be a fair fight using bombs and torpedoes, Not only changing the speed but also changing the steering by not using gyros, only using Fins.
An overpowered transport truck would be cool. Having pickup trucks chase it like mad max style or something would be wicked haha

I got a unique one: everyone makes a standard attack/bomber plane and an over powered fort with plenty of shields and guns and missiles. Then take turns to see who's fort can withstand the attack the best!
Here's an idea: OP space craft v two smaller space craft. Yes this may be inspired by Star Wars
Scrap: Builds mini attack heli
Yzuei: Builds mini Apache
Patchbits: Builds random futuristic flying submarine

OP Mechs or OP Hovercraft

I think scrapman is genuinely good with the OP vehicles cuz he attacks more than going defense so they have to respawn and gains time. W strat.
Next time, I'd like to see a power core limit for weapons, so there is a bit more variety to the builds. Maybe instead of miniguns, someone uses 6 smart cannons. Or, if you allow melee, someone uses a shield and dives for the opponent.
OP static emplacement vs aerial assault.
So just like a huge mass of shields and weapons, sit it on the deck of the aircraft carrier or something and let the others throw themselves at it.
Maybe a couple bomb bays and a few projectile weapons? If it is as OP as I am thinking, they'd need the firepower.
The twist, aim assist is disabled for the static emplacement, manual aim only.
So OP that there was no OP vs OP battle at the end xd

Content idea: you should do a 1v1v1 tank battle except you add pistons so you can jump the shoot them down
Perhapskis you could make a video where you could fight using a vehicle where your seat is on top of a large pole. And perhapskis It would be funny to see how yall would attempt to fight when your vehicle is all wobbly.

The funniest part is that with these OP1 vs 2, if ur the OP one and can manoeuvre in the air or water, you could just go out into the ocean from the carrier for as far as you wanted. Their spawn is on the carrier so each time they'd have to fly even further. Just a OP strat for a OP vehicle.

I'd like to see the overpowered blimp take on the overpowered plane and this creation in a three-way air battle. 🙂 Give all three players at least one round with each creation and see who does better with which one... and, of course, which creation is superior. Something tells me that Yzuei's builds are improving over time; not sure why. 🙃
You guys should put some of your other overpowered builds against each other like from other build battles
I like the idea of a mele only for the little builds, then some overpowered vehicle with a ton of guns.
OVerpower SAILSHIP. You know, with canons and shields, like 17th century ships, and using small boats with side cannons all the same. Meaning you have to turn abroad to fire at them. Put it on high seas and that's sure to be plenty chaos.
I have an idea for next overpowered challenge, how about we get a scrapman built OP vehicle? :P
If you could manage to build an autonomous flier that just circles and shoots I think it could be fun to see 3v overpowered drone. Not sure what the victory condition would be, though. And for extra chaos you're not all on the same team so you can accidentally shoot down each other.

When that Quadcopter took off and shot, it really looked like a level boss in a vertical scroller.
I think you guys could make something that's kind of like the Star Wars Death Star Trench Run. 2 of you are turrets and 1 of you has an EMP and it's a 2 v 1 where the 1 gets to respawn, and the EMP should be targetting the seats smack in the middle of the "trench" build that the 2 are "remote controlling" the turrets from. There's also a bunch of TNT sitting under the defenders. So yeah, it'll be a challenge of an over powered defender verses a poorly matched attacker. Attacker doesn't have any other means of attack besides a single EMP and a single shield to defend with. To meld ideas and push it further, you could have the turrets evolve in weapons. Rnd 1, is against tiny cannons, 2 smart cannons, 3 mini guns, 4 blasters, 5 tank cannons, 6 large cannons, 7 rocket launchers, 8 several EMP's, and 9 would be something like snowball launchers (something unconventional that doesn't care about the shields.)
You could also do this challenge twice. Once in like the Test Zone and then once in Spacebound. The Test Zone will have gravity, but frame of reference will be off. Spacebound will be weightless, but you can see which planet or asteroid the "trench" is on in reference to everything else.
Now fight all of your different overpowered vehicles together.
Overpowered Battleship(Yamato) Vs 1 normal bomber(Bomb bay) and 1 torpedo bomber(4 dynamite).
The battleship needs to have a fixed speed of 30 km/h using fins as turning, yet it would have one weak point and that's placing one dynamite on the seat, but its a Yamato design, it would have an absurd amount of guns(or how many as you want to be considered "overpowered").
Use this Idea as template (Overpowered Battleship vs Bombers) not use my current suggestion, and just make it your own if you guys would like that.
I wonder if tug war is possible? Maybe if you can hook onto another player's vehicle - you could do like stop the monster truck with hooks or something. Sort of like Mad Max, you know the scene with harpoons and plows.

I think a fun idea for a multiplayer challenge would be 1 very fast car with decent protection vs. small suicide bomber planes
Day 181 of asking scrapman to test how fast emp is in trailmakers
Okay. This is a race idea. Everyone makes 2 builds. One with 30 power cores race car with no weapon and another, smaller car that would have 15 cores without the addition of 4 space guns. Both sides have unlimited repairs. Two small cars are on a team with no path restrictions against the big one which must return to the circuit as quickly as possible if it leaves. Whichever big car finishes the lap fastest wins.

Shoulda used my Scorpion Chopper armed with rockets, on both sides a cannon under center mounted beneath the cockpit, all of witch are swapable, and it’s extremely agile, however it’s doesn’t use gyro steering instead it uses eternally installed helicopter engines utilizing cintriphical force to help guide its turning and nose elivation, the dual blades also articulate for added speed and agility for superiority.
