Found this video to be helpful. I know it's supposed to be easy, but for someone who isn't handy at all, I was nervous changing my own showerhead. This video gives me the confidence that I can do it myself. Thank you!
You'll be surprised how many household things that are easy to do. My dad handled household repairs. When he passed away I had to learn how to fix certain things. A few tools, wd 40, and maybe a trip to Lowes, and you can do it.
What can you do if the plumber's tape won't let you take off the shower head? I could not get my shower head off, even tried spray lubricant to get the shower head loose. Would love to see how to change all the fixtures in a shower: knobs, faucet, etc. What should I look for in a new set?
You can try wrapping a towel around the nut holding the shower head, and use a plumbers wrench or angled pliers. Running the hot water for a couple minutes could also help loosen it up. Replacing the faucet portion is usually even easier than a shower head! On the underside of the faucet there is typically a set screw (small hex screw) and once loosened or removed, grip the faucet and pull/twist. Knobs/handles can be replaced by removing the set screw on the handle or knob, then removing the face plate. Typically they are held on by a couple screws. As far as looking for a new set, start off by deciding on a style and a finish you love. Some people prefer functionality with removable heads, massage jets, or even a rainfall style. There really isn't a bad option, it comes down to your style and needs!
@andresdelacruz3864 your fine. Ya just unscrew the old one from the pipe out of the wall. Remove any debris. Warp that white plumbers tape( alot of shower heads come with it in box, it's white and flimsy) on the threads where you screw stuff into each other. Them put on the new head. Check for leaks, if there are leaks, remove head again and put more tape on the threads. That's basically it
More like use wrench or plier but he's using his hand instead with no tools. Lol Otherwise, look simple enough but me actually doing it is another story.

Loved ❤❤
If i changed the shower head and it's leaking between the pipe and the shower head does that mean I need to tighten it more?
Use more tape
Should have used a chrome showerhead.
I agree
So you don’t have to turn off the water first ?
No
Oh I thought you needed to turn off the water. I'm horrible to this type of things

Not all of us can afford a new one 😢
"Just use plumbers tape."
*Doesnt use plumbers tape.*
Yes he did.
He very clearly used plumbers tape

@@chanthana7694 that is what I wondered, he didn't use a wrench? A wrench isn't needed? Just hand tighten?
Просто купите нормальную душевую систему в китайских маркет плейсах. Зачем держаться за эту устаревшую систему?
A towel to cover the drain? Really? Just use a plastic Tote.
