  • Follow us on this how to video as we remove the stock bars on this Harley sportster and install a set of 12" ape hangers
We do a complete installation utilizing the Burley Brand cable and wiring kit.
We also run the wiring in the bars and flip the mirrors to give this bike a clean bobber look.

Great video - thanks man! 🤙. I am, by no stretch of the imagination, an expert, but I had to run wires through an Electra and it was a f-ing nightmare. Couple of tips that may help someone: you can ties a piece of lamp chain (or beaded, or a weight at the ind of string, you get the idea) to the wiring and use it to pull the wires through. A more surprising tip (to me 🤷‍♂️) came from a mechanic at my local HD dealer: use Windex as lubricant. I know, sounds odd, but it worked really well. Thanks again for the vid!

I found your channel while researching putting Ape Hangers on my new Honda CMX1100DCT. You did a nice job and I picked up a few tips. I've liked and subscribed to your channel.
I hope Burly BRand comes out with a cable kit for my bike. They told me possible November. (Fingers crossed).
I think your channel is going to grow really big.
    Thanks again and good luck.

Dont ever get the Burly sportster cable kit , the clutch cable is crap , the part that threads in the engine is poorlly made and mine broke during install and i didnt even put any force on it , If you want crap ! Shurly buy Burly ......use any company but burly and you will be fine ....just warning you guys , nothing worse then thinking all your parts are in and i will be riding tomorrow, only to find out now i need to wait for ANOTHER clutch cable from a different company now ..........thanks Burly for letting me down .............

If you got bars and cable kit 3 or 4 HUNDRED DOLLARS WHY DO THEY NOT PUT ENDS ON THE FREAKING WIRES

    • @FlippinCustomized

Some kits do but most don’t because it would slide through bars

Great video. Only thing I would have done differently is positioned those banjo bolts for the throttle cables in towards your forks, that way the cables follow the lines of those bars a little better.
