    This gorgeous town house is just steps down from Piazza Italia (Our main piazza) with its shops and cafes. The house is on four levels and multiple balconies with sweeping views of the Pollino National Park and the sea. The house is beautiful as is but there are many options in which you can transform it into your own dream property.

    Those views are so beautiful and peaceful. I'm fascinated by the broken chair on the wall on the little terrace with the tiny peak of the view in the space between buildings. That roof terrace would be amazing.

      It is a great house! So many magical spaces! This one you can move in right away and leave it as is (Just fix that bit of roof) or you can renovate it and create your own area. So many opportunities!

    This is a nice house for the money. Raise terrace roof add solar lights seating area and you have a dreamy space. I think kitchen in basement isn't so bad if you cook a lot. It keeps food odors and heat out of living areas. Many homes in Baltimore, MD USA are like this.

    A cool room on a warm day is invaluable, especially if you don't need to turn on AC. I liked visiting some medieval cities with the narrow shady streets where the sun is blocked by the walls. It might not be so great in winter, but winter doesn't last long.
    I think I would raise the roof for more space on the terrace, or remove part of the cover for a sunny spot and a shady spot.
    I probably would make my bedroom the one facing the view and make the one facing the street into something else.
    I really have a lot of admiration for Antonello having so much knowledge on what can be done.

      Hi Ken, 100%. I would take off that entire roof for unlimited access to the views. It is too low. But what magnificent views!

      Hi, It does take a bit of love but 30K is way more than you need. We are in southern Italy! Renovation costs are a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere. IF you planned it out you could do it for about 10K.

    hi chris. i could be so happy in that house and it's location. does the house next door have any garden or outdoor area? i bet this sounds crazy, but could you purchase the house next door and take some of it down to give an outdoor area or must it be rebuilt to the exact dimensions that already exist? please let me know if it is possible. if so, it could be the perfect place for us! thank you, deb :)

      Hi Deb! It is a great house! I don' think that you can do that however I looked at a house that I am putting up tomorrow that is very similar to this one but bigger and you can purchase a separate garden. In fact, you could purchase this house and purchase the garden. It is not attached to the property but it is nearby and has all kinds of fruit trees on it.

    Why are the exteriors of many of the properties in Italy not maintained well? I understand that many are old but the same is true for properties in other European Countries. In other European Countries, in general, the exteriors are maintained better.

    • @SuperSavvyTravelersLLC
      @SuperSavvyTravelersLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here we have a harsh climate. It is really best to maintain things like painting with waterproof compounds and what not. We have a tropical climate with a lot of moisture.

      There are many town people living and workmen in and around Santa Domenica Talao but unfortunately as the elders die off, their houses are left empty and many are these types of houses.
