Thank you so much for your beautiful video Dauv0! I wish we had more time to spend together but we were both so busy! Next year let's do it again. I so appreciate your showcasing Santa Domenica Talao. Thank you!

Thank you for another great video. I love the drone shots of those amazing views. It's so interesting to see the architecture, so different from what you showed us in Puglia. Looking forward to more!

Excellent video. We binge watched and really enjoy them. DW would like to buy 😁, we've never been to Italy.
Lord willing, we plan to visit Venice in September. It's always been our dream to visit there. Then, we plan to return to visit other parts of the country.
Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next episode episode.

One could put a frosted glass door open to the bathroom in the basement for more light.

    Hi DauvO,
Really enjoy your channel. Great to see you meet up with Davide and Chris on your trip. Very interested in your thoughts (and perhaps this could be a topic for a future video)having now visited both Puglia and Calabria - where the best value is to be found? Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons of each area, like buying in Galatina versus San Domenica Talao? other areas in Puglia v Calabria? Keep up the great work!

Are there any villages with cheap homes near a college? I have triplet boys and I want to find a way to be able to afford collage for them

4:00 Big pharma is making bank💸 with all these tests.
Tests only cost $5 to manufacture and process.
Will Italy and traveling in general ever opened up again?

I'm not the one to answer that question, that's for sure.
From the looks of it, they are getting pretty comfortable with the vaccine requirement

I love your videos but to think all these houses are going to be bought and fixed up and lived in by non Italians really bothers me! Its not going to be Italy anymore! Sorry but thats how I feel!

    • @DauvO
      @DauvO  3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

If you think about it, most of these houses are empty, most the people who can actually buy and live here full time are italian descendants. Everyone else buying to stay occasionally will fix up the property and then leave it empty (just as it is now) but in better condition.
I don't see any down side as long as people have mutual respect for each other.

Understand your point. My view is, that buying and renovating (semi)historic property which otherwise might fall into ruin, is much better than seeing all those big monstrous, modern hotels being built. Here you give back to a community and you invest, even if you don't stay there permanently.

I agree with Marlene, these houses have been vacant for a very long time & the purpose of these houses going at 1 euro is to build a population. There are some things like building a business to help tge community so there are some perks.

This particular village welcomes everyone, and all of the non-Italians that buy properties here have no desire to make the village into something that it isn’t. It’s wonderful to see properties that have been neglected for a long time finally get renovated and really enhance the beauty of the village.
