We really love these homes but are concerns living in Metro Verde are valid. We just cannot understand the planning for this community. As much as the Metro Verde / Red Hawk area is growing it is frustrating that in February 2024 there is still not one gas station or grocery store that services the growing community north and east of I-70.
We used to live in Lakewood, CO a suburb of Denver. Within three miles of our home in any direction we had five major grocery stores, two major Walmarts, three 7/11 convenience stores, 2 major malls, approximately eight gas stations and numerous fast food and higher end restaurants.
I think it is about time Metro Verde / Red Hawk area stops building homes and begins focusing on grocery stores and gas stations to serve the community north and east of I-70, don't you think?

That’s a great comment, thank you. Yes I agree with you. Even though we are within 10 minutes of so many stores but there are none in the direct community. There are a lot of commercial property designated in metro and in red hawk estates. I’m hoping to see this happen soon as I live in metro verde and have lived here for 7 years. Next time you’re here I’ll show you the actual growth map and can even get us a meeting with the developer to see what commercial projects are coming quickly. It’s also important to note that we are not a large city or near a place like Denver Colorado filled with millions of people. Las Cruces is still a small town. Super appreciate your comment my friend.
