This series has tons of untapped potential. DIC shouldn't have dropped it after one season. If there's any way this series can be rebooted while remaining faithful to the original source material. I'd be all for it.
I remember watching this show in the early 2000s on channel 13 almost every morning before school it was sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century Archie's Mysteries and then Mummies Alive
I recently painted this which is why it popped up on my timeline lol. Same here though Archie weird mysteries and Sabrina the teenage which. Back when cartoon wasn’t really for kids but we’re on kids channels lol
Same. I loved this show. I remember having at least 2 of the toys. Loved mythology and history for as long as I can remember and pretty sure that why I loved this show
If the show had a bigger budget in terms of voice acting here's who I think would voice the characters Sam Gifaldi: Presley Christopher Daniel Barnes: Ja-Kal Mark Hamil: Rath Brad Garret: Armon Cree Summer: Nefer Tina Jim Cummings: Scarab Tress MacNeillie: Heka Candi Milo: Amanda Caravan Frank Welker: Kahti and Ammut Charlie Adler: Set Kevin Michael Richardson: Anubis and Talos Dee Bradley Baker: Mr Huxley Kath Soucie: Elaine Lane Toran Caudell: Walter Tara Strong: Cynthia Mary Kay Bergman: Chontra Rob Paulsen: Nuhn Jeff Bennett: Geb Grey DeLisle Griffin: Net Bes: Johnny Kassir April Winchell: Bastet Just to name a few.
I love this show. I loved it as a kid and still do. I wish that it had lasted longer then 1 Season. Not a whole lot of people today know about this show and I don't know why. I would love to see it remade but not today because they would make it all woke and ruin it.
I sure hope Paramount Pictures,Skydance Media,Flynn Picture Company and Bosque Ranch Productions would do a live-action movie adaptation of Mummies Alive! and add in the style of The Mummy movies and Gods of Egypt.
The series premiered on September 15, 1997. That was my ninth birthday so it was kind of an interesting sort of birthday present when it premiered. Also, I’m sure a lot of us had a crush on Nefertina.
ANIMATOR BARRY ANDERSON WAS THE OVERSEAS ANIMATION SUPERVISOR for the TV Animation Series called Mommies Alive for DIC and more information of his bio Animation Career will be posted soon .Thank You
I wished other of my childhood cartoon favourites from the 90s like Biker Mice From Mars, Space Cats, Creepy Crawlers, Super Dave, Hammerman, The Adventure of Hyperman, Blazing Dragons, Cowboys of Moo Mesa, The Addams Family, Albert the Fifth Muskeeter, Santo Bugito, Iznogoud, Walter Melon, and captain simian and the space monkeys were finally released onto complete DVD at last just like Mummies Alive!: The Animated Series. In fact I got entire episodes of Mummies Alive!: The Animated Series on DVD by Pidax Animation company in Germany which has two languages option either German or English that allow me to list to English dubbed👍.
As far as ninja turtles clones went, this one had the most interesting premise, four ancient Egyptian warriors reviving in the modern day to protect the reincarnation of the prince who died under their watch, that’s a backstory to be proud of.
Mummies Alive! came out the same day as The Mr. Men Show. It aired during the same time frame as Extreme Dinosaurs, Extreme Ghostbusters, 101 Dalmations: The Series, The New Adventures of Zorro, and The Wacky World of Tex Avery.
I was that late teenager who still watched shows like this and Spawn TAS on late night tv. Sometimes he still takes over and WE will watch cartoons all day....

A second season would be great!
Probably one of the most interesting 90’s cartoons I kinda wish they explored the idea more of them becoming Living once more to blend into society
Without TH-cam, I would have assumed I hallucinated most of these childhood shows.
I was drawn to this like my life depended on it and never got to watch all of it. . bout to tho.

truly an underrated animated series from the 90s! (at least this show has some cosplaying and fan fiction of it by now!)
I loved this show as kid. Just watched it again. Always wanted to know what happened to ja-Kals family
I sure hope Paramount Pictures,Skydance Media,Flynn Picture Company and Bosque Ranch Productions would do a live-action movie adaptation of Mummies Alive! and add in the style of The Mummy movies and Gods of Egypt.
Right!?😉👍
And the series never even got a proper finale.

Was Scarab inspired by Mumm Rahu a little bit?
Is this a reupload? I'm sure i've seen this before....
Memory unlocked, totally forgot about this show
Loved this show ! Technically too “old” to be watching cartoons at that point but still loved it !
Felt always like a second-rate Gargoyles lite to me, but at least now there's Cleopatra in Space.
It was pretty much the Thundercats of the 90s
If they didn't get the King Tut joke then they didn't deserve to know it

i searched for this cartoon so many years XD Nostalgie
I loved this show back in the day when I was eleven! All these 90s action animated series really hold up!
Growing up with this show and never seeing Thundercats as a kid, I wonder if Scarab’s transformation was inspired by Mumm-Ra’s
Well it's about time. Now, do Guyver the Biobooster Armor.
this show was fire.
i'll admit i was never a fan of this show as a kid in the 90s. Still today, i'm not a fan. interesting concept though.
I so wish this cartoon would be released either on DVD or made available on a streaming platform. Tubi had it for a short time.
You can find full series on TH-cam

There ya go.
That's not how you hold a phone, Amanda. That's so fake and you can drop it that way
This was before my time of it was updated like cyborg I would try it
I'm More Of a Saban Entertainment Fan Than DIC but both studios made my favorites during my younger years so I can't complain
I remember the toys growing up with this cartoon.
I loved this show! Wish they could bring it back or make a dope game from it
That would be cool. They did with cowboys of moo mesa so they should with this show
25 Years!
Wow. Ya'll are going DEEP into the childhood nostalgia lol. This was a good show.
This was legit my favorite cartoon growing up!!!

I’d watch this really early getting ready for school around 97’-‘98 is was Mr Man and Little Miss, Beast Wars and Mummies Alive!
I was that late teenager who still watched shows like this and Spawn TAS on late night tv. Sometimes he still takes over and WE will watch cartoons all day....

Totally forgot this show. But the narrator sounds extremely bored.
