If they had tied the cartoons into the movies properly, and drawn the characters to look like the actors and had them do the voices, the series would have been a huge success!

I thought I was the only one to remember this show. This, Evolution, and the Roswell cartoons were the shows I almost thought I made up because of how hard they were to find anything about until recently.
People criticize the show for deviating from the films, but as far as I am concerned, that is a pretty hypocritical reason considering the Fraser films deviated a lot from the early films of the 1930's, 40's and early 50's. I love this show, I have the DVDs, I still watch them and I honestly like them better than the Fraser films.
I got the days confused on the day of the final episode airing on CBBC I think, so I missed the last one! I Knew where the bracelet had to take them, never watched that last episode where they went there. Shit scarred Me. Thanks for making me remember this.
Alex in the cartoon is more better than the live action version, he is annoying but he grows up into a great character. Jonathan is still best character.
How is Alex annoying? If you are talking about Alex in Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, yeah I can see why. But if you mean in The Mummy Returns, that don’t make sense he’s a child with some matter of intelligence.
I feel like a new character redesign is actually excused, as long as they have some type of feeling that they are in fact those characters, they just look different. Story-wise and everything else the poor series suffered. If they made Imhotep a sympathetic villain like in the movies, or if they stopped with a whole bunch of MacGuffin artifacts. Heck, delve deeper into Colin's backstory, let him go through an actual redemption Arc. They could have explored how Anak betraying him had ultimately damaged and psychologically hurt Imhotep, but he still wants her back for some reason. They could have explored how Colin is traumatized by his mistakes and just wants to run away and either fix his mistakes or forget everything even happened. It could teach lessons of how how much weisler tried to amend his mistakes, the O'connells won't forgive him. Sometimes when you make a horrible mistake somebody won't forgive you no matter how hard you try, that's an important lesson for kids to learn. I feel like the show would have greatly succeeded if they want with that angle. I'm sorry this is super long but I have been thinking about this for literally years.

Slight difference, in place of a bodyguard the mom’s older brother tags along but causes trouble Then mom’s coworker joins the dark side and also causes trouble And then there are the shows monsters! And the kid himself gets into trouble also and as bright as his parents.
One of my favorites shows When they a animated show maybe they i dont know make maybe a Cgi version many things can be done with graphics and computers so why not a Cgi version?
.........Where are the guns? They used so many guns in the Mummy series, so where are the guns? I remember seeing this series, ONCE, as a child, and while I saw that it was called "The Mummy," it wasn't until years later that I realized it was connected to the Brendon Frasier movies, considering the characters didn't look right, didn't sound right, and the action was very reminiscent of Yu-Gi-Oh characters threateningly pointing their fingers at each other, while making baseless demands that they had no means of actually enforcing because 4Kids took their guns away. Like, seriously, where the hell are the guns? Why was the family so excited to chase after these supernatural forces while fending off mummies, sea monsters, and other horrible creatures, completely and totally bare-handed, not to mention I don't recall ever seeing a single punch thrown throughout this entire review. It's not really a wander why things kind of went down the toilet in ratings with this show, especially after the massive firearm brawler the second Mummy film was. Imagine if they had gotten all the way to Tomb of The Dragon Emperor, and had to explain away why come the Chinese army in that film weren't using guns or rocket launchers while trying their best to resurrect the emperor. Although, watching this review, I kind of wonder what would have happened if the Tom Cruise film had been successful? Would they have rebooted the cartoon, too? Or, would Tom Cruise have entered the cartoon to cross over with Frasier? Hmmmm.....What could have been.
The odd thing about this animated series though set 1940s ? It's actually quite earlier 1936 in the movies or prior to the second world war which really never is mentioned through the movies and no other side to the story of earlier days to the characters during the war years another there's no mention of Howard Carter or his discoveries at least strangely he is the one these stories are based upon sort of? And the whole animated series was fantastic and cleverly done around the movies there was one interesting story I recall in Europe near a castle in a Hungarian village and a vampire character which has a familiar name it takes a couple leaps to reveal a secret or two and an ancient curse that really revealed that the Mummy is the ancestor of the vampire and so the cures is magical places by the Mummy a thousand years before and Dracula is actually the desent of the Mummy but there's a twist involving the O'connorals to and this animated series comes a new mystery never happened in the movies but I think there was a movie mentioned once about Dracula and the O'connorals?

This series was a Favorite of mine when I was younger. I wish it had been able to run longer. It was terribly underrated, sad it ended so shortly.
