Let me paint a scene many years ago, my Grandad had been fishing the pier with lug and had no joy, he drove back to Norwich with 6 lug spare. The family tale says that my Uncle(he likes to tell this tale) took these 6 lug back to Gorleston, back in the day it was a long drive and as he walked along the harbour he asked the others whether they'd had any joy. Apparently not, so he trundled to the end of the harbour with these 6 lug, and so he says, 6 lug and 6 cod(not codling back in those days). He then walked walked back to his car and I don't think he said what people said back to him 🙂He's has also caught a flounder back in the 70's at the bridge near Norwich Train Station. This isn't a pride thing, it's making a point that anything is possible.
We are so lucky to have all these different marks to fish . So pleased you managed to fish the ferry steps yesterday without being turfed off by security. Get that toe looked at. TLCM.

Hi Brett you lookin a bit crispy round the edges at the end of your session I've been out in the works van today for four and a half hours was lightly poached when I got back to the unit, me not the fish 😂nice to see some fish least you caught . In regards to the sea pulling to the left I'm wondering if there is a tide that comes down from North Beach round those rocks behind you across to Hopton beach and comes back toward the pier in a big back eddy, if you look across to Hopton and seen the waves crashing in to the cliff just wondering 🤔 Regarding doing the dusting get out fishing whilst the weather is awesome going to start raining at weekend well it is here and most of next week sure the lure of the bass will grip you😂 take care have fun 😁👍
Easy tip to tell the difference between a dab & flounder if you're not sure. Just run your finger gently up and down the top of its body. Smooth one way, rough the other it's a dab. Smooth both ways it's a flounder.
