I loved how Gabe Vilardi looked last season. He's got good scoring instincts and great hands. They gave up a lot for Dubois. I think this could work out for both teams. Don't sleep on Kupari...I like his upside.
way to much to give up in my opinion. PLD is not worth Three Players. Jets won this trade hands down. PLD has quite playing hard for every team he has been on. Thats a ton of money for a Player that has not been able to fit in any franchise thus far
I believe both teams benefited. Kings got 2nd line center to go along with kopitar and denault down the middle. Vilardi looked very good last season, iafallo gives jets stability on both ends, kupari is still a working progress, and a 2nd round pick. Sometimes you have to give something to get something. But I do agree, Blake did gave up alot.
He would've had 30 goals this past season if he played all 82 games he had 27 goals in 73 games, but it was an overpay it's not a horrible trade through

Iafallo is a defensive/PK specialist who can play up and down the lineup and provide a little bit of offense, and if Vilardi can stay healthy he can be a phenomenal player he's got a great shot, some of the best hands/stickhandling in the league, and is a really good two-way player
Vilardi is the elephant in the room. If Gabe progresses even better without any back issues, Kings zoink this trade, but we don't live on "ifs and buts" world.

If so, I believe he develops into the better player and Jets win the trade by a landslide. PLD will be solid for the kings if motivated which I think he will be. They have plenty of young fwds to replace the other 2
As a Kings fan... bummed to see Kupari go, I felt he was trending in the right direction. Alex was solid at his role but the determining factor will be id Dubois doesn't request another trade and if Vilardi can get his first healthy season under his belt and put up some numbers.
Iaffalo is terrible. Kupari is replaceable. 2nd round Meh. Gabe hurts but remember he's injury prone. But the kings are solidified in the middle for the next 5-8 years. I think it was worth it.

Kopi-PLD-Danault for the next 2 years PLD-Byfield-Danault/Kopitar from 2025-2027 Byfield-PLD-??? from 2028+ People need to realize Centers and Defensemens are the 2 hardest positions to fill and they are the most important positions in this game. Every other positions are "replacable" People are mad about Gabe, I get it, he had an amazing season. Kupari is really nothing to cry about and Iaffalo is lol.

So what the Rags haven’t ever done a trade that was risky? “Lame organization” guess your still salty over 2014. Trade seems to be just fine, 12-3-3 and top 5 in the league. Best center depth in the league with Dubois.
