Oh and at 2:36 I think you were talking about Dennis Pop, who Max Martin worked for in the beginning of his career and who served as a mentor to Max until he passed away. A true legend in the game
Yacht rock is an afterthought rather than being an actual genre at the time hence why there can be so many hits attributed to it. Also, having been here since episode 1, this is by far my favourite podcast. Audio Nerds Assemble! (That might be too nerdy😂)
Heyooo! First off team 12, Ableton all the way. I got to say I was bummed nobody brought up JON BELLION when talking about inspirational producer vids, that man is the goat, all of his videos are gold. Also, you guys are all producers : artists I have been hoping to hear more songwriting / producing techniques and less about plugins. The best plugin is the one you know how to use. Love the show!
Ya’ll talking about RICK BEE-AUTO. that’s my guy I didn’t know you guys were on that. I love how he makes it about musicianship at a fundamental level.
yooooooo that new Waves IDX multiband compressor jawn?? That joint is tuff! NGL lol. Quick question: when you guys talk about recording vocal chains, is this just a chain you use while recording or is it a chain you use to record into and print while recording? Just wanted to understand the correlation of the 2. Thanks!
Aye my Audio nerds was my #2 podcasts on Spotify wrapped, Devonn Terrell was #3 on my top 5 artists, (1 was myself, 2 was j Cole) and Devonn had 2 songs on my top 5 most listened to songs (forgot your birthday and Take you serious)
Studio 1 Def DAW of the year. Cloud services.. ✅(been had) cloud plug ins✅( been had) macro commands that do what been Thomas was doing natively ✅ (been had). own loop packs✅(been had) ".Daw" file system to talk to other DAWs✅ native sampler/instrument/groovebox✅ stem seperation✅ clip launcher✅ splice integration ✅ 4 different elite daw controllers( mixing & production) ✅ quantum es/HD audio interfaces ✅ 🔥🔥 Yall need to start putting some respect on presonus name.. We coming for all yall!
I feel what castelli saying about compression, 95% of the time everything that is percussive, drums and 808 i dont use compression at all, just on instruments and vocals.
interesting about the white noise trick and harmonic distortion - thing is, a lot of these are fundamentals of producing other types of electronic music a la techno... real quality techno - there is a lot that can be learned from the process or producing such music.. as its mostly low end theory and texture.
Native instrument came through with izotope, and kontakt 8 and komplete there's a good bit of decent things in there Maschine 3.0 yea hugest flop of a dawish update from a company in years
Y’all taking care of any dc offsets before compressing? Asymmetrical triggering makes your compression wonky…clean house bro. Saturating or using hardware emulations can offset your signal and make things bad for compressors or limiters. I’ve caught pros lacking. This is easily observed with massive bass instruments in dubstep.
We love yall so much
Love you all too
Where's the pod?!!? I miss you guys!!
I think y'all need to take votes from the fanbase and actually put on an AudioNerds Awards for 2024
Miss the pod gang. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I keep checkin for updates daily
Happy New Year!
Glad you're loving the updates to Studio One Pro!! It's time you all join the family 😏

15:47 I LOVE this idea!! You totally should!
I'm ngl. I definitely feel that. I'm on a no new plugins kick rn, just trying to focus more on my techniques and fundamentals.
no cap brother/ seriously exactly the vibes . ppl watching tooo many tutorials. and not creating near a DAMMTHANGATALL .
This all the way. Even more understanding what exactly my plugins are doing under the hood to pick and choose them better.
It's easy to get wrapped up in the plugins. So many these days. I stepped back and am really trying to learn the ones I already have.
That's probably cause you got the best plugins that you need to sound pro
@ lol you’ve got me there
So glad baby audio got a shout out! Such a good company bro all their stuff hits 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
1:18 - I'm doing the white noise trick now with an empty track from my OP-1 Field. Hopefully Dev can critique this joint tomorrow!
Man I don’t even produce hip hop, I’m mainly Rock and Country but you all have a great channel. Hooked on it. Keep up the great work!
