As one of the people who requested this review, thanks so much tom for listening to my request tom! There's a lack of reviews on this machine even though on paper it seems to have great value
Thank you for your feedback, but I wouldn't call this a review - more like a first look. I will give it a proper review with proper video and audio soon. Cheers!
Thanks for video! I use this machine double espresso basket with 18 grams of coffee (or 17,3 grams with puck screen). It makes 36 grams espresso in about 25 seconds with 9,5-10 Bar pressure.
@@gosman949 Nope. But I think it’s also more of a problem that our ISP just gets stuffed. It happens several times a day, but the Internet service just completely stops.
I bought this machine last year, in the end I put a dimmer because the pressure was too high and it had no opv, it was frustrating to keep the pressure stable. From time to time I could get great shots, but in the end I bought a refurbished Lelit Elizabeth.
coffee_wave went over the process of removing and adjusting the OPV in his review at around 12:00-14:00 minutes. I don't know russian myself but the auto translated captions did a decent job. The process seems like a pain, but not super difficult. You may be able to do it in without taking it apart with a correctly shaped tool(maybe cut a strip from a metal ruler and bend it to shape). I'm not entirely sure from the video(around 12:20) but it seems like there is an additional cover at the bottom of the top part of the machine that can be removed to access it more easily.
would you say this is an upgrade over a Breville Infuser and worth getting for like $200 or should I just get a Flair 58? It has some features I like and is super-cheap on Aliexpress but I don't know.
This machine offers controls over pid on both brew & steam temperature, also the preinfusion..very interesting it can offer that function at that price range..🤯
I just checked on Amazon USA and it is currently available for $269.99 which is 10% off. There are a total of 4 reviews, all 5 ⭐️. The reviews are so professionally written it leads me to believe that they may be fake or purchased by the manufacturer . . . Hard to say for sure.
Nice review as always Tom! I'd love to see a comparison with the ECP, Dedica and bambino! Hibrew also has some grinders, it would be nice if you could do a review of the hand grinder and the G5
Based on this video and the 'setup' video.... I feel I dodged a bullet. Lack of OPV valve is not good, the electronics are likely to fail one day (soon) and its game over.
Well, you have to consider the pricepoint. Solenoids are expensive - depending on the model between $25-50 each. But making the pressure adjustment on the OVP accessible would be nice.
@@TomsCoffeeCorner true, price will increase. Easier Opv adjustement would be nice. I did try to adjust it once but gave up. Its not easy to access and i did not want to damage the machine.
Is it similar to the newer Gemilai CRM3605s models? It's only available in south korea i think because i've only seen youtube videos from there. A similar looking machine in my country would be the Guerrero TBK01. The korean version however have the pressure bar, built in dimmer, and PID (if im not wrong) and 58mm also
@@TomsCoffeeCorner thanks, why so high at 12bar in some coffee machines, the current trend is 9bars. Should make this pressure user adjustable, say 9 or 12 bars nothing in between or higher.
@@yttean98 because its only $140 and while ut has a lot if features for that price point it does not have an actual bar guage. its a great value though
Hello, Tom! Pid and features, but you do not look happy with this mashine )) What about support? I envision that there might be issues with repair parts 😅

I really appreciate that you take the machines apart! Definitely helps me understand the machines a lot better!
Sorry for the abrupt ending, I lost my internet connection again, lol. But you get the gist. Thanks for watching!
haha no fiber over there?

You are right to be wary when a product is new and only has overwhelmingly positive reviews. Maybe wait for some more reviews...
@@TomsCoffeeCorner its not new, ive had mine for 2 years. not $269, it sells for between $140 and $200 here.
It seems they have released an upgraded Plus machine. Will you review it?
I bought the grinder from hibrew in combination with the delonghi ECP. Great cheap combo. Grinder works really well.
What is grinder model?
@@MrSalahgomaa Hibrew G5
How does this compare to a similar Breville, etc?
Well, I will have to use it a bit to make an informed statement regarding performance, but I can say that the build is not comparable between the two.

Yeah, they should add a solenoid valve, ability to adjust flow rate and make it taller to fit bigger cups and scale.

They did, check the plus version
@TheScorpio32 yes, saw that
That was a quick review, but looking nice so far.
Just a first look - I will do a proper review soon. Cheers!

Huh nevermind, it looks similar but the shape in front of the grouphead looks different
Guerrero tbk01 similar with dessini & petrus machine in my country..51mm portafilter..
Is 20psi a little high for this machine to be pumping out? Ànd why so high when other commercial coffee machines are much lower?
20 bar is only a marketing gag. The most I have ever measured on any machine was 14 bar, and usually they are between 11-14. But what you want is 8-9.

Sir Tom, nobody in THE internet shows inside an "ARIETE 1318 MODERNA". Please, If is possible show us. (Sorry my poor english) Thanks a Lot!!
Cant seem to get enough pressure out from the steam wand.
Really? It does great for me!
