- The newly-elected members took oath as the 18th Lok Sabha Session began on June 24 at the New Parliament building. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with MPs of his NDA Govt, took oath as Member of Parliament. Meanwhile, the Opposition leaders held a strong protest against BJP-led NDA outside the Parliament. As PM Modi walked to take the oath, INDIA bloc leaders including Rahul Gandhi raised copies of Constitution. However, when he completed his oath as MP for a historic third term, PM Modi was greeted by Opposition. Rahul Gandhi was seen greeting PM Modi with folded hands after he completed oath in Lok Sabha. Earlier, INDIA bloc held protest outside the Parliament building against appointment of pro-tem Speaker Bhartruhari Mahtab. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi took part in protest. The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will be held from June 24 and it will be concluded on July 3. The last session of the 17th Lok Sabha (Budget session) was held between January 31 and February 10, 2024.

Strange to see this. Most of the damage to the constitution was done by khangress rulers and how can any Indian forget that?
