We need more people like you Kenny! Too many people literally live in negativity and try to get others to move in too. I don't mean that's everyone, some people just have hard times and struggle because of it, but it's important to not lose hope and not hurt others.

I was around then, fuel racers were like biker gangs and they sure didn''t make it easy on her. But, she gave as good as she got.
In CA. We would see the Winter and Spring Nationals. Hanging out in the pits was almost the best part!
NHRA is a lot different than NASCAR IN NHRA you drive straight there are no turns. Completely different.

The problem is these women are hyped up over and over and over by Motorsport media and normal people can look at the results and realize they are nothing to write home about. I have no issue with women in racing.. but they have to be there on merit for me to care about them

Hallie has done a great job of driving. Tony Stewart even states she’s a good race car driver. She’d run circles around the big mouths that probably drive from the back seat. Great show Kenny.
Smoke said she could drive on DIRT not on asphalt the best she will ever be is an also ran.
Her numbers don't show that she is a winning driver. She is ranked 27 this year. Tony is now married to someone who races so he wants to enjoy his homelife.

Hailie has a large support group on Facebook, I think they have 34,000 members and that group has always been there for Hailie, even in the worst of times, the post and comments are always uplifting. Hailie said that the group has bought more of her merchandise than any other group...
It seems if she spent more time drivin' and less time worryin' about her popularity she'd have better numbers at the track .
All of her videos are racing related. SHE just isn't aggressive enough.

Nascar is simple; get top 5's and 10's to prove your talent. Last season in the trucks she was driving in a top 10 truck team. Her second year in trucks. Her teammate were able to get top 5's and 10's, she just didn't have the talent or ability to give feedback during a race to improve her racing.. I is a racer sport; it is color, race, gender, blind. You just have to be able to drive on the edge of out of control and not wreck. She is just like the other 20 or so drivers in each series that don't have the talent to get to the next series, or they are now stuck in the series they belong in. haile belongs in the Arca series. She used her father contacts and her Media fame to advance to the Xfinity Series.Her sponsor could pay more and put her in the #20 or #88 car and we would be able to put this to bed once and for all with whether or not she has talent.

Racing is a hard sport you have to have a million things that have to go right to succeed and win.

I'd be perfectly happy with a career in various NASCAR series with an average finish of P23. We're not all Dale Sr.
She isn't dedicated to racing or committed to improving her skills. Despite driving for a championship truck team after only two years in the series, her best finish in the standings was 20th. She often lags at the back of the pack and occasionally gets lucky with a 13th place finish due to wrecks.
Newcomers to the sport often outperform her. Unfortunately, she seems to be more about the hype, which is a common issue with some female drivers and contributes to why they aren't always taken seriously in the sport. If she dedicated herself to racing and improving like most drivers do, the situation might be different.
I was once a big fan of hers, but over the years, as she gained popularity, I noticed she spent more time building her social media presence and less time honing her craft. Consequently, her performances declined, and she became another example of wasted potential.
In this sport, a lack of focus and dedication becomes apparent. Without the mindset that Kevin Harvick emphasized in his podcast, you simply can't succeed.

That's still no excuse for the NON-achievers to go out of their way to try to tear down people who are doing their best to make things happen. The media personalities never held a gun to anyone's head forcing them to tear people down. I swear, the one bad thing about the internet is it gives all of those miserable losers a platform to talk shit, while affording them the luxury of hiding in cyber space like the cowards that they truly are. One last thing: those who are the most successful in life happen to be the very same people who FAILED THE MOST. They failed the most, because they kept trying & refused to give up.........while the majority of people who tried the same things gave up rather quickly.

Here is why men fans and men drivers dislike her, Danica too. Danica, Deegan continue to move up the ladder with not even mediocre results. Both were on the best teams (Deegan's Truck team won races and the Championship last year) and had poor results. This is where the negativity starts.
Being pretty attracts sponsors regardless of where they finish
Deegan is a much better race car driver than Danica.
As for looks, have you ever seen John Force's three daughters? They are all lookers. Ashley won Indy 3 times. Courtney won everything this is to win. Brittany is a two-time World Champion.
Tony Stewart's wife Leah has two World Championships. She's no slouch!
Erica Enders has 6 World Championships, and is probably the best natural Pro Stock racer in history. She and her sister are both lookers.
Angelle Sampey has 3 Pro Stock Motorcycle World Championships. Now she's preparing to run Top Fuel. Past 50 she's still a looker. In top physical condition.
Ida Zetterstrom, the reigning European Top Fuel Champion will debut in the United States in August. She's pretty easy on the eyes as well.

No reason to say you are sorry for being a good guy and treating folks right. At this age, I've come to the fact that there is no reason for not acting the proper way. I've seen this in my sport, drag racing, too. She has the courage to get out there and put it on the line and race, which is more than most of her critics have. God Bless her! You’re exactly right sometimes it takes a hot rod for drivers to run up front. I would imagine half the field are underfunded race teams, “junky cars” and there is a racer in every one of those seats. I remember Friday Hassler an independent, underfunded, but a racer, got a one off ride in a Junior Johnson car and won at Bristol.
I believe that until a woman wins races, women will be a novelty in the sport in the NASCAR series . It is what it is. That’s not being mean is it?
Anybody with a huge social media presence that performs poorly at their job is going to be ripped to shreds. She can shut everyone up just by running well.

Thank you so much for this Kenny. These are my arguments to the haters. As I often say, there's 30 other "Guys" behind tenth place and nobody's out there telling them to go back home. There are a lot of different issues involved in having a winning year. As you said, maybe the 15 car is a mid pack car and she's having all she can do to keep it off the wall. I tell these jerks "get the address of AM Racing and go down there and tell them all they're doing wrong and tell them you can fix all of it. Picking on a 20 something year old girl😑

When you over-promote someone and lead people to think that someone is much more than what they really are and then the actual truth comes through and reality sets in you're going to get people's attention to the lies that have been told.
I've been around racing for all my life. I've been a fan, volunteer pit crewman, race team co-owner and a small time sponsor of a local driver. Female (and Black) drivers are well respected in the pits. It's the fans that have the problem.

I use to be super negative about everything growing up. I got type one diabetes at 12 and didn’t have the support I needed and that grew into a shyt storm. Now that I’ve matured and grown a bit through therapy and life. I find I’m a big uplifted and supporter for others. I still struggle at times with self doubt and fear of failure etc, due to what you said: “rough childhood”. People that had supportive parents are so fortunate and I hope they realize that. I’d love to hear your advice on the rough childhood aspect! Maybe make a Kenny Conversation on that topic! I’d love to hear your input and I’m sure many people could benefit and grow from your wisdom! You keep doing you! Let the haters hate! ❤️👍🏻

People are critical of every driver. Yes I’ll agree, a lot of dudes take their opinions too far with Haley.
However Haley isn’t immune to being criticized the same as any other driver.

She has a lot of fans. She needs a better car, and some luck. Look at Iowa. She practiced quite well, for the car she is in. But it rained and NASCAR canceled qualifying. So a midpack effort was meaningless and she started near the back. She still moved forward.

I pulled for Hailie when she came into the sport, but over time my enthusiasm dwindled. When the tv announcers week in and week out showcase a driver by speaking the words "Deegans in it" then said driver should probably do something else for a living. Just yesterday same result "Deegans in it"
32nd place this past Sunday at New Hampshire
When she was driving the truck, her spotter was even getting irritated at her for not following his advice. Her Crewchief yelled at her to "start listening!". Her spotter either did, ...or said he was leaving. Her 2nd truck team WAS a good team, they had other drivers who won. All the critics said then,..she has no excuse, she's in good stuff. She averaged about the same in that truck, Allot of people thought she was either heading to a 3rd truck team...OR ARCA,..or wherever.. Then out of know where she lands an xfinity ride. With stats like her truck racing most racers, male or female would not get a ride in xfinity, yet she did. A great finish behind Tony in a SRX race isnt going to do it either. After leaving the west series, i think she should have raced in the main ARCA for a few years, get more wins, experience, maybe even a title. I think teams rushed her up a little too quick for the hype. I think Danica could have made it better,...but she was quick from INDY right up the NASCAR ladder. I wish she had a better time.
I'm just more of a Kaylee B and Jade A. fan. These two young ladies are the "next gen" lady racers. They don't really get mixed up or pushed around by the boys. Jade is pretty aggressive and has put the right front tire to a few no problem. Kaylee, she is smooooooth, she really doesnt beat and bang. She just drives around your ass. She races the track,...not moves you.

Good for you Kenny, but I’m pretty sure if she got a better ride that the results would be similar. The last female NASCAR driver had a ride with SHR when they were competitive and was always blaming her problems on other nasty drivers.

Lets level set here. This is the only sport that really allows women to compete against men as opposed to having their own female series/league. And every time a female comes in they grab the headlines and the advert money and do nothing with it but wreck and finish outside of the top 25 week after week.l, we are just tired of it. Someone shouldn't get a ton of money/support and a ride based on their uniqueness to the sport "gender" and their number of TikTok followers..... i do not dislike her at all, but lets be real here.
She gets good sponsors (and keeps them) because she works hard at it.
See, in the NHRA we have so many female winners and world champions, we don't even notice anymore. Same with minorities. You won't see the kind of forced "diversity" that you have in NASCAR.
Deegan has the misfortune of driving a Ford. There's only one competitive Ford team in Xfinity, and they are shutting down.
I am a Hailie Deegan fan. My first Nascar race was in Darlington in 1968 went with my Dad. Hailie Deegan didn’t run and hide when during covid her first lap on track was at the drop of the green. She is truly a driver and you have identified the true Pos. I am positive Hailie is the real deal and can’t wait for her to have her day. The whole team is struggling right now but Iowa was a turn for the better. Kenny you are a gentleman and a scholar.

Good drivers can't do anything without good equipment. Look at Larson with Ganassi vs Hendricks. Cars matter. Leave Hailie alone, she's doing more than most of couch drivers would ever have the nerve to do.

I've been saying for a long time that those bashing NASCAR drivers, or any pro athlete for that matter, are doing so from the cheap seats. Meanwhile, the person they're trashing is actually out there playing the game.
I might be too negative or too sarcastic because my two favorite racing quotes are; 1. Isn’t it odd that you look around the pits and realize half the people don’t know that they aren’t having a good time. 2. If you are thinking about going racing go buy a refrigerator and tip it over so it lands on top of yourself. It feels about like racing but when you’re done you have a refrigerator. All the struggles make winning sweet.
My idea for every day in life is - to learn something new and to help others and to be nice to others . That’s the way I live .

When she won her 1st NASCAR(ARCA) race and the hype started I jumped on the band wagon and subscribed to her YT channel. At that time I didn't know her father was famous for X Games but, learned a little about him. Hailee's YT channel seemed to be more focused on her pit bike racing and showing off all the toys she has bought with her money than putting 110% towards trying to be the best race car driver so I stopped watching her channel. Then more recently I heard the story about a hard working privateer motocross racer who claimed Hayden Deegan's amateur race bike at Loretta Lynn's Nationals and even though he was following the rules it seems Brian Deegan and Yamaha basically bullied the kid out of the bike and he lost his own ride for stirring the pot. The kid was probably going to discover professional race parts on an amateur bike so they couldn't let that happen. You can search on that and make your own decisions. I've never said anything bad about Hailie unless constructive criticism of wishing she was more focused on her career and winning than pit bike racing is considered bad.
The issue is that she’s been hyped up for years and hasn’t done nothing. I don’t have a problem with women in racing but when they don’t do a damn thing and they have bad results every race. We’re going to criticize the driver
The problem Kenny is there is a lot more deserving racecar drivers out there that are 10 times better than she is and they will never get a shot because they didn’t come from a rich family. Deegan has absolutely done nothing in truck or Xfinity so far so why should we praise her?
Well also she’s a female so they won’t take her out and replace her with a better driver who is a male.

Look at Bubba Pollard, he has it all and still can’t get a ride. Dale Jr gave him one ride and he did awesome. He would out perform Deegan any day of the week.

Kenny at the end of the day she is a human being first off and its horrible to be treated this way! I am a retired motorcycle racer and I know what it means to LOVE racing just like you and Hailie. I am just so glad there was no social media back when I was racing. It's just so much easier to be nice than it is to be mean. It took a real man to do what you did and there other sports that you can watch if you hate a woman who is a racer. Thanks Kenny.

I am sick of the BS were if a driver (male or female) doesn't have great success that it means they aren't any good & don't deserve to even be racing. PLENTY of great drivers never achieved the success their driving talent was capable of & even THE most talented drivers aren't/ weren't always successful. It takes more than just driving talent to succeed in racing.
