The 8th generation Honda Civic is known as Honda Civic Reborn first introduced in 2006. Honda Civic Reborn featured a brand new and sportier design language compared to the 7th Generation Civic. Honda Civic Reborn was available in 4 variants 1.8 i-VTEC, Prosmatec 1.8 i-VTEC, Oriel 1.8 i-VTEC and Oriel Prosmatec 1.8 i-VTEC. Production of the Honda Civic Reborn 8th Generation lasted for 7 years and Honda brought the ninth generation in 2012.
The exterior of the 8th Generation Honda Civic Reborn features a distinctive and sporty design language. The front end features sleek, narrow side swept headlights, a small grill with a chrome accent and a small trapezium air intake. The rear end houses trapezium styled taillights with circular inserts and a large rear bumper. All variants of the Honda Civic Reborn feature identical styling in every aspect. The overall exterior of 8th Generation Honda Civic features a fairly unique and distinctive design language that allows it to stand out amongst its rivals.
The interior of 8h Generation Honda Civic Reborn compromises of black and beige plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features on the 1.8 i-VTEC include air conditioning, power windows, power lock doors, tachometer, trip computer, dual front airbags, stereo audio system and power steering. Features on the higher end Oriel variant features front fog lights, alloy wheels, leather upholstery as standard and a sunroof as standard. Options include leather upholstery, a sunroof and satellite navigation. The overall interior of the 8th Generation Honda Civic Reborn is functional and aesthetically pleasing and offers a good amount of space on the both the front and rear.

As a car enthusiast and a civic owner , Im from India, always curious to check what other civic owners feel about their civics. I always watch civic reviews of model 2009 -2012 from every country which have this civic model .
Everyone speaks the same , everyone face almost similar problems from their civics, but which can be easily resolved.
2009-12 Civic is a great package from Honda. This car is Reliable and powerful. Also super review from pakwheels. Review covered all the points of everyday civic issues maintenance , parts & safety. Liked it! good to see Mr.Suneel reviewing about civic even in lockdown.

Used to have 2011 civic back in Karachi . It’s almost 2 years ago now. Loved that car. Have memories . Sunil Bhai mentioned about the known fault . I remember I was stuck in rain and it was like driving in a lake . But Allhamdulilah this car didn’t give up and I was home safe and that was some deadliest rainfall in Karachi for me.
I dont know whether i am right or not...
Mine Honda Civic 2012 Full options gives me 16+ on long with AC.
Speed between 140kmh to 160kmh it gives 14.5 with AC Alhamdolillah.

Anyways, I have 2011 Reborn full option and its oil changer costs me 2800 overall ( not from dealership ) . The only thing I miss in this car is Cruise Control, but it sure can be installed aftermarket in about 8-10k. RPM meter is changed for the cruise light.
But trust me this thing is as much beautiful as it was newly launched. Whenever I park the car and look at it, it looks just amazing. Looks nae chorin is gari ne abe tk.

i am using this car for years one of the best and iconic civics of its league .All around the world it is considered as most aggressive and lethal civics of all time Its sport version is named as FD2 TYPE R this car was marked as best track time cars with most efficent in aero dynamics but well every car in the world is never error free or without any issues most of the reborns in pakistan had an issue with catalytic convert and O2 sensor issues pre and post catalytic converter sensors do need replacement after every 25k-40k kilometers including CAT also ,engine mount known as oil mount is also faulty and causes vibration on cold start , drive side window channels usually stuck after some time and lastly hydraulic power steering i would rate it as nazar batoo of car very comman issue in reborn for powersteering issue while rest engine is a bit fragile in terms of taking car just proper oil change and minor services for oils and lubrications will always keep engine healthy R18A1 (~140 hp)assembly SOHC MOTOR with single ivtec very smooth engine .Engine operatable optimised temperature is 100-Centigrade and maximum approch is till 105- Centigrade between these values engine shows Max performance so should keep it well checked never use 20-50W oil it would not allow ivtec to run

CIVIC HYBRID is a good car! I've had it for the past 3 years and i have had no problems! its actually a lot more comfortable in driving since it has a CVT gearbox and a lot more economical than this prosmatec.
