I remember that being in the charts, always liked it - I was about 9 years old.

Everyone seems to gravitate to the Revolver, Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road Beatles but that was a different phase whey went from being a "band" to being solely recording artists. Their earlier work is often placed on a back burner. But I think that is their best work as a real band. They were happiest then and if, like me, you were an early teen then the first 4 to 5 albums were incredible for the time. It was all about fun and entertainment. Their earlier work gives me the most joy and unbelievable memories. I am a bit sad for younger people who missed all of that. But go back and listen and maybe, just maybe, you will get a taste of what I considered one of the best gifts life gave me.

I was a baby in 1969, but I always liked them. I went to see the digitally remastered movie of A Hard Day's Night when they re-released it at independent movie theaters, can't remember the exact date, but it was sometime after 2000. It was pretty neat because I went to a small old fashioned movie house, in Rhinebeck New York, it was such a neat experience to see it on the big silver screen. Felt like I was actually in the 60s. The theater was packed, and there were a lot of very cool, older, gray haired women present, that were huge Beatles fans in the 1960s when they were teenagers. Everybody was super excited to see it, everyone was singing along, some people were dancing, and everyone was bobbing their heads and moving in their chairs. Great experience.

Can't wait to see your reaction to the actual film of the same name. Their individual personalities shine through, and it's sooo much fun!

Thanks for upchucking this again, circling around it, sniffing it, salivating, and wolfing it down with eyes wide mad-dog gleaming.

They didn't have a title song for the movie and needed it for the next day - John went home and using the Ringo-ism "A hard day's night", he wrote this banger. What a guy.

The movie of this name is classic, like from 1965.
just a little odd, semi-auto-biographical, sort of, but a 'fictional' band going big... "behind the scenes". Not silly like SpinalTap. but very fun
