  • The launch pad for today's discussion is this video on ASMR:
    www.youtube.co....
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR), a delightful, shivery sensation at the back of the skull and spine, triggered by whispering, tapping, and watching someone methodically and attentively performing certain tasks, was only described and named a decade and a half ago.
Not everyone can be triggered into having an ASMR response. Preliminary evidence suggests that ASMR can help with mood, anxiety, and sleep problems. Whether ASMR is more common among those with ADHD, and whether it can be helpful with ADHD symptoms or associated co-occurring conditions in those with ADHD, remains uncertain.
After a 2-4 minute recap of the video, I'll be here to answer questions on ASMR, ADHD, or other mental health topics.
